It's only pronounced Gitsune when it comes after Hagoromo. Hagoromo Gitsune just means "hagoromo fox" (hagoromo is a type of kimono often worn by spiritual beings in myths). Kitsune is the way to pronounce fox by itself Japanese. The K turns to a G because sometimes the first consonant of the second word in a compound word become voiced in Japanese, but only when it's in a compound word, otherwise it remains voiceless.
