capitalism is the natural order of things. you can't fully abolish it, just like you can't abolish gravity.
Christian Butler
This 10000%. They're literal cuckolds in the true sense of the world. They'd rather serve their boss who does nothing and make him richer while only getting a fraction of the profit.
Adrian Watson
There is nothing natural because you are not giving everybody an opportunity to succeed. Level the playing field, don't give everyone the same amount of wealth, but give them the same amount of TOOLS and see where they end up. Then you'll see who actually has talent and isn't just buoyed by connections or rich family nepotism.

Zachary James
And I already destroyed your argument above, brainlet. Additionally, there is nothing natural about extracting surplus value or private property. We know this from interaction with pre-civilised people. Capitalism is a construction.
Asher Sanders
>dozens and dozens of wars costing a billion death at least over the past 300 years >tens of millions of deaths because of simply stuff like lack of basic drinking water >N-n-not the fault capitalism!
Jose Gomez
Define capitalism >there's nothing natural about private property What is the "natural" form of ownership then? The notion of legal ownership of property protected from the government predates the magna carta >extracting surplus value You can argue this isn't moral or something but animals practice this all over the place >we know this from pre civilized people Races evolved apart from one another, lower intelligence haplogroups are more communistic
Which also explains why fucking retards like communism so much
Samuel Morales
Read the 10 planks of Communism, see how they are instilled into the American political system, then try to argue that the US is operating under a capitalistic system.

This definition will suffice. The fact you're trying to insinuate capitalism is not a recent historical development tells me you're a lolbertarian brainlet. The only reason lolbertarian make this argument, which is not supported by anyone except lolbertarians, is so they can escape criticism. Your entire ideology is a fraud.
Joshua Miller
You're a retarded mouth breather and don't understand what capitslism or communism are. Fuck off and go pray to Jesus while your country gets blacked you redneck.
Anthony Howard
None of those things are exclusive to the last 300 years, what are you talking about then?
Societies organized around maximizing these interactions? Then what is your ideal society and show me one that is organized around it exclusively beyond 300 years
Caleb Brown
>It's capitalism Under the definition you gave me, the United States and certainly not the uk are capitalist, because entire industries are subsumed by government decision-making and the no industry is free from significant regulations
Something as broad and foundational as the labor market is completely defined by the government
Aiden Morgan
>Soldiers block roads and trains >Millions starved to death while abundant food rots in fields and silos >Famines are just nature, you can't blame communism

this is bait but for the sake of it i shall answer
you don't have to be a genius to realise that per capita communism is more deadly than capitalism you retard, capitalism has been a thing in basically almost every world power for centuries, communism has been a thing for a select few countries and for only several years on end

A commie telling US we are brainwashed. Hilarious.
Noah Wood
America is the most brainwashed society in history. The difference is that you're brainwashed to believe you're free, to make you better consumers and worker bees for your capitalist masters.
Gavin Reyes
at least theres food. actually capitalism is not natural, it tries to be as natural as possible, but theres nothing natural in exchanging things for things without real value.

Unironically, the polarization between the two is very not good. I'm far more left than Bernie Sanders platform, but there are a lot of socialists (even local DSA members in my very big city) who, if they could have their way, would like to just expropriate everything as quickly as possible. That is kind of a scary thought, it'd likely just result in chaos like many other past revolutions. But there is a stigma against reform because, in America, it is often just associated with a welfare state that offers things like free healthcare, unemployment checks, food stamps, etc. which all get attacked in the long run.
It's tough navigating all of that. I don't think it would ever happen, but I'd rather not see America just replay 20th century socialism because some DSA people are too eager to inaugurate their idea of the perfect socialist system.
