Okay my theory on Kushner is because of a few things.

From what I've been able to understand about astral projecting or remote viewing, it doesn't seem to be any different than any other psychic power. It's somewhat like synesthesia in that your mind is taking external information and processing it as sensory stimulus in a way that's easy to understand.
