>We want the Ghibli audience

And I don't blame them; those films make mad money.

except the whole reason ghibli is not making any more films is because the wind rises and when marnie was there flopped

Retard.

Because they ARE Ghibli you idiot. In case you couldn't tell by the artstyle.

>Kiki's Delivery Service But Not Really Haha
Remind me why I should care?

It's apparently based on a book.
If nothing else, the animation looks great.

for the most part it's ex-ghibli staff
looks more like spirited away to me and it is based on the little broomstick by Mary Stewart

Kiki's delivery service had basically no magic in it other than flying, this one seems to be going full Howls Moving Castle style and having magical societies and crazy monsters and shit.

Seems fun.
People have said ITT that it's ex-Ghibli guys, but honestly, even if they weren't, I'd rather have people copying Ghibli which actually feels cute and child-like than go for that generic moeblob style.

Kek
Already look better than little sales academia already

>film

it's shit for normalfags. just like ghibli and your name.

>We want the ghibli audience
Not necessarily a bad thing but god damn that art style is damn near copy paste

>the sky's colours as the sun sets
Jesus Christ, I'd watch this anime for this alone. Hnggggggggg.

>MC witch won't get any doujinshi
FFFFFFFFFF

when do they get to luna nova

hope it does good

Everything looks better than little shill academia

>nu-Ghibli
Who the fuck cares?

Same producer (Toho), which means they are a part of a family. At some points LWA money went into the production of this film. How does that make you feel?

how many Sup Forumsnos have watched the Doraemon thing?

>Uninspired
>Forced adventure and sense of wonder

Meh.
At least the animation looks good.

>Uninspired
clearly inspired by Miyazaki's old movies

It looks stupid, but it looks pretty.
And those eyebrows are on point.
I'll torrent it.

This is exactly what I was thinking. LWA was such a disappointment.

>uninspired
buzzword

this movie has good animation and artstyle ; how did a new, literally who, no name studio even get enough money to fund that much quality?

It's also the wrong word. All of Miyazaki's movies have clear inspiration. They may be unoriginal and lazy, but it's just flat out wrong to say that they're uninspired.

it's a theatrical film so budget is higher and they have more time to make it so it's obviously gonna look better than a tv anime
founded by ex-ghibli animator/director
bunch of ex-ghibli staff working on it
it might feel a little weird without the Joe Hisashi soundtrack though

>without the Joe Hisashi soundtrack

I didn't expect to see the Hanna-Barbera defence force in full-swing 2017

maybe because it's the same staff...
