Newfag here. I've been lurking on Sup Forums for about 6 weeks, and it seems pretty obvious that it's under attack from lefties. At first I noticed that there were a lot of silly non-political threads and obvious baiting going on. Then someone posted up a description of what a slide thread is, why they are occurring, and what to do about them. Things began to more sense.
Just before Christmas, I noticed an increase in the volume of slide threads, and they seemed to be even more blatantly obvious. When Assange went AWOL they seemed to increase again.
Today I was having a lurk when I saw an obvious bait thread, so I decided to see what kind of retaliation posts it invoked, as well as give it some sage. I noticed that poster locked out their identy-code, and that the first 3 posters were all from the same country. Then I realised the first 3 posts had consecutive post numbers. I've never seen that in another post before. Looking further, the consecutive number sequence keeps going, and going, and going. So I started taking dumps.

How are the post numbers sequential if there's a minute between posts? People post more frequently than that
...but seemed to keep a run of consecutive numbers starting from around 12 hours earlier.
