Yeah. Honestly it's the real reason millennials arn't breeding. We're the first generation to grow up with video games and the internet. All that stimulation and escapism as an alternative to doing adult things. Why would you??

Technology is a part of humanity. If we stop advancing, we are literally retarding humanity. It's not rapid, it's the same growth it's always been, but it's obviously nearing the end .... a zenith ...

Cloning was the last step, really.

...

I'm more worried the shitholers will destroy the west and turn back the clock

>implying stable population is bad

Too bad we don't just overpopulate to death, and actually are naturally approaching a equilibrium as technology advances.

t. black

Yes. Its the greatest danger, but nobody gives a fuck.

Sup Forums has the best fanfic. Use to be /x/ but now Sup Forums has the best fanfic, and all the Trump fanfic.

>implying it's stable

You don't know how bad things really are.

capitalism and technology are like vengeful gods. just make the right sacrifices to them and you should be good.

the real reason millennials aren't breeding is because the entire planet is owned by a few elite men. 8 men own more wealth than 3.8 billion people on this planet. having children is pretty much feeding the machine. your children will most likely grow up to be wage slaves, while the elites suck their energy dry. an entire life wasted. at least, by not having children, millennials get to save more money to live a basic life without being constricted by the system. reproduction, within this system, is a sin. why force another being to spawn into a reality in which he will only be born to serve as food to some self-important "elite" degenerates?

That's not a fanfic. It's from a book written by an autistic french geneticist.

Serving others isn't a sin retard

bringing children into this world, knowing that they will be forced to serve the most evil and self-aggrandizing group of "people" in this world, while they will have almost no degree of choice, is a sin against universal law.

>universal law

I should have realized you're autistic from your first post. Sorry I even responded

Sorry, stable population growth is what I mean, obviously. I know you think the world pop is decreasing or being genocided through the mixing of races, but regardless of what you think you can do to control the lives of over 7,000,000,00 humans all over the earth, the fact is eugenics actual fucks up stable population growth because...

obviously people know how to procreate without your fedora tipping ideas. It's kind of what humans do.

>All this projection

I have a mental disorder, never had a job, on disability bux, and I'm 30.

I don't know why normies don't want a family/kids and a life like our parents/grandparents.

If I was actually able to be a normie I would love to have a wife and kids and live like my parents/grandparents have. How dare you be blessed with a normie brain and functionality, and throw it away to live some pointless dirty new-age lifestyle

Ya, that was the largest reply of rhetoric I've ever seen.
>American Cucks
>THE literal meme flag
>doesn't capitalize anything
>run on sentance
>universal lack of choice is against universal law

I.. think things are really bad??? I am saying the natural progression of humanity is actually going somewhere good, and Sup Forums thinking is actually worse for the population.

Better for your political ideology, but overall for the 7 billion, there's been no proof that eugenics has done anything but destabilize a society.

China one-child was overturned, human rights movement in the US, Germany was decimated and split in half after the war...

We are not advancing, the technology is.

no

WE ARE THE TECHNOLOGY .

ENGLISH LANGUAGE IS A TECHNOLOGY, technology is just the extension of humanity. Some see it as one and the fucking same, since literally everything we've ever created is technology, if we didn't create it, it's called nature, if it's not nature, IT'S OUT TECHNOLOGY.

I know a lot of people think: Technology = Electronics

It won't kill me off, it will kill you off. Can't wait.

Literally un-ironically no. Not even in the slightest.

we're going back to the stone age, including stone age levels of population, and there is nothing you or anyone else can do about it.

No, I look forward to it

To your point on self-reliance, everyone here should read the Millionaire Next Door by Stanley and Danko. By accumulating enough wealth, you can easily live that basic life you mentioned if you're determined enough and willing to implement the points listed out in the book.

I'm worried about tech in the wrong hands. By which I mean the little hands of stupid people. Never in my lifetime have I witnessed so many petty stupid people in the upper echelon of powerful government's. I'm talking Iran, the UK, North Korea, the Philippines, and so on. Can you imagine what would happen if Pakistan had nuclear weapons and decided to Nuke Israel or worse yet India? You'd think it was funny, until it escalated to the point that other countries swooped in to take the dwindling clean water and oil supplies from each other.

...

No, Im excited that i probably get to have an advanced "skyship" in our lifetime, that i can leave in and travel anywhere, exploring earth and its mysteries myself. Saving up for it.

*live

Not my fault kids are ignorant of what technology is. Rapidly developing technology is not separate ot mankind. It is mankind.

If it wasn't it would be a resource, but since communication itself is a technology, that's not even a resource it's an abstract idea.

if AI will be created and it will be EXACTLY like humans it will be greedy, stupid, aggressive, treacherous or autistic at best

since it won't complain or could be restarted after many complaints it will be cheaper, more reliable than humans

as an entrepreneur, you would not pay more for something less reliable, would you?

To compete with machines parents will spend more on more time on works and kids will spend time alone with video games and yuotube if conceived at all.

This will produce sick, dying society.

As long as they are making better and stronger computers or consoles better for gaming its fine by me.
When it comes to making artificial robots. then yes it will destroy the human race

I had this teacher at camp who claimed that a closed fist was technology and that we needed to reign in and control our technology in order to save us from our impulses. I've seen apes raised in captivity make a fist. It's instinct. Dawkins called us meme machines, but I believe he overstated the argument. We like to think of ourselves as individuals who make informed decisions in our every day lives, but that's nonsense. We aren't technology. We are monkeys who a couple times a day extrapolate an unoriginal thought and maybe once in a lifetime actually have an individual one. More often than not it's because we are drunk.

And yes, I'm aware that my argument isn't particularly original.

No, Marx, I’m not worried at all

thats a 3rd world nation (aka shit hole) fear . if your in the f1st world nations you will be making the new technologies and even some of the shit holes will make some interesting stuff concept wise so they get patent rights

Read this book
Technological growth has slowed down tremendously

Have a courier fall asleep in 1570 wake up in 1800 and the world is the same.
Yeah. There's still horses and carts. He's still walking a long way, cooking over a fire, pooping in a hole in the ground. So, you know, hundreds of years have passed and not that much has changed because up until about 1800 or so, things did not change that much from year to year or even from century to century.
Now thought experiment part two. Same delivery guy gets tired again in 1870, takes a nap for 70 years - short by his standards - wakes up in 1940. Gordon says he wakes up in a world that is completely transformed.
They would not believe that you could pick up an instrument and talk to somebody a hundred or a thousand miles away on the telephone. They wouldn't know that to illuminate a room you could turn a switch. They would be flabbergasted to look up at the sky and see objects flying in the sky,
After hundreds of years of a horse and cart, now he's got a truck.
In his house he has a fridge, a stove, no more cooking over a fire. And he has a bathroom with a toilet with running water.
Now walk into the same kitchen 80 years later, and what has changed? He has a microwave.
What has replaced his truck? A slightly safer and more energy efficient truck.

I'm more worried about non white birthrates in europe and africa

So now south Korea is "first world"? They invent a lot of stuff.

And it will be born of video game technology

how do we accelerate this?

It already is. Look at what social media has done to society in 10 years. The next big push will be vr and augmented reality with some glasses people wear at all waking hours. I'm 23 and I can never talk to someone my age for more than 5 minutes without their phone beeping at them and they instantly check it like a machine.

Who gives a shit it they're white? So long as the most fit survive it's all good. Intelligence will eventually win out, or the branches will prune themselves. Think of the big picture.

>Any one else worried that rapid advancement of technology will be what kills us off?
>worried
you mean hopeful

>Any one else worried that rapid advancement of technology will be what kills us off?

No, I'd be worried about those that pull weeds.

or save us.

not really, i'm hoping tech or something ends us, hopefully muslim go first before they completely infect west

>Technological growth has slowed down tremendously

it's not a linear process

ups and downs

>He said: “This is like earthquakes, you should think in order of magnitudes. If you can kill 10 people that’s a one, 100 people that’s a two... Bioterrorism is the thing that can give you not just sixes, but sevens, eights and nines.

that's billions

>The United States, China, and Russia are already locked in a new arms race to gain nanoweapons supremacy. Evidence suggests each major player is developing insect size drones, such as the United States Army's recently announced "fly drone," for surveillance and offensive missions.

>Millions of insect size drones...are projected to become the new weapons of mass destruction. But controlling millions of nanobots is difficult; once released, they may go beyond an adversary's boarders and kill indiscriminately.

AI creeps me out. Ever chatted to Louise Cypher?

Incidentally Ive learned that Funko Pops are actually made by a literal 'Evil' corp, who specialise in arms dealing, GMO and strangely....animation.

The world is fucked already.
