Why did CONSERVATIVE education reform fail, Sup Forums?

In 2001, conservatives in the US overhauled the education system with the No Child Left Behind bill. The bill imposed "accountability" for public schools via additional testing, and also expanded voucher systems and charter schools. NCLB is widely regarded as an expensive failure - US school test scores continued to fall in international rankings such as PISA, and the Republican party itself dismantled most of the NCLB law in late 2015. Because you can't fix schools that are infiltrated by Marxists.

Because majority of public schools attending students are coloureds which genetically have a lower IQ there is no helping them in the first place

Marxist has nothing to do with that

Bullshit.
Talk to any teacher. Leftists to the core.

That's absolutely not true, if op is interested read more about Noam Chomsky or watch Requiem for the American dream

The basic idea of using standardized testing to identify schools that need improvement was sound... the problem was that it led to a system where universities just rampantly inflated grades and passed failing students up the chain to avoid being penalized. Public education has become corrupted over the last few decades - from the teachers' unions that actively cover for shitty instructors, to the administrators who tie the hands of the teachers who actually give a shit.

That's not what conservatives argued when the bill was passed. That's not what they argue even TODAY when they talk about education reform.

Talk? How about educate yourself and learn what Marxist was about. If the schools were infiltrated with them we would surely see a vastly different type of student coming out the other side

i know a teacher very well and all of her peers are all lefty communists who want amnesty and shit

all public and higher education is dominantly left leaning

True, but that probably doesn't have much to do with school performance per se. That's more to do with indoctrination. But plenty of hard-left elite private schools produce students capable of doing well in non-ideological fields like calculus (for example).

Good God do you need some explanation on the devolpment of Marxism in the 60 and 70's? How even the most extreme western Marxist philosophers accepted that communism has failed. Marxism is rebranded as a fight not between economical classes but between oppressors and oppressed. But at its core, everything is still a struggle for power, nothing more.

No I don't. But how about explaining how you think Marxist school teachers and boards are failing student performance and provide some sources to prove it with links

If you try to teach monkeys anything beyond their capabilities you will get a blank stare and possibly feces thrown at you. No wonder why America's educational ratings have gone down

>Talk? How about educate yourself and learn what Marxist was about. If the schools were infiltrated with them we would surely see a vastly different type of student coming out the other side

>being this fucking new

Educate yourself

what does the Republican Party have to do with conservatism?
They haven't been conservative since 1961 or so.

They tied it to school funding, so what schools did was game the system to keep the percentages up. Like classifying students as special needs when they were just stupid so they wouldn't count toward the amount needed to pass to get funding.

This was the most shit thing the Republicans did in that 8 year span. Not the Iraq war.

Wait I take that back. Patriot Act was. Then this bill.

1. Standardized tests are bullshit. The only test should be: "what is the current average yearly income of the school's former students".

2. School is only part of education and upbringing. Communities and families matter as well. A stable, healthy environment is more important to an upbringing than a good school, in the same sense that proper hygiene and nutrition is more important to your health than a good doctor.

3. Education is improperly valued in the US. The teacher has a role in society just as important as the engineer or the doctor, but for some reason you don't appreciate (or pay/support) them properly.

Wow racist picture by today's standard

like many bills no child left behind is intended to do the opposite of what its named. de-funding public schools the government was previously legally obligated to pay for if they fail to meet standards for standardized test scores seems kind of like more children will be left behind

there is nothing which acts like a counter balance to the lack of money given to the school to make any one think they will be able to pass the next wave of standardized test any easier

>2. nurture not nature, bigot!
No amount of legislation will fix inept humans and the comparative squalor they nest for themselves and neighbors. You train knowledge, intelligence is inherent. No surprise brainlet offspring come out of brainlet parents

>3. m-muh teachers are saints
Handholding and coddling is normal well into adulthood for yurocucks. Protip: K-12 primary purpose is to be a govt provided daycare. Developing social skills are probably more paramount than whatever propo teachers regurgitate. You want me to praise the city clerk too because her without her records the bureacracy wouldnt operate?

It didn't fail they just made it to curb more schools so close down from shitty test scores and later form bigger public schools called Charter school.

Schools have poor direction and goal setting. Accountability only helps keep you moving, not moving in the right direction.

Niggers are subhuman and beyond help
The school system is cultural marxist indoctrination
Neoconservatism is a cancer and only slightly better than liberalism

Because they ignore race/iq

This. You can't secure your borders if they are full of traitors. Also most blacks don't want an education.
