Build tension and intrigue for a major political power struggle for 12 episodes

Fuck everyone who told me ACCA was good

looks like the filter is working.

You right. Ugly art too

What were you hoping for, a giant mecha battle?

The show's fans like to say it's 'comfy' or some bullshit like that but ACCA really is a show with zero stakes.

I agree with op, the ending seems contrived as fuck, for all we get is the prince's word that he won't disband acca, and not be an authoritarian shithead.

the first princess for what ever reason, decided that it is okay to have a claimant to the throne that anyone could manipulate.

it was not at all obvious how installing the mc would give that family any power, for the mc never pleged loyalty to them, nor did they have any levers to manipulate him with.

Comfy is just a way to excuse nothing happening. Some SoLs can make it work, here it just felt like things SHOULD be happening but it's all a tease. But ACCA's fans will defend it to death because sexy-looking characters and nice OST. They can't admit that they're in it just for the pretty surface and that it has nothing more to it.

See This mangaka always has this kind of calm story. What the hell are you expect?
I'd be surprised if the ending was actually fight scene/war.

>you have to read mangaka's other works in order to get it
Sounds like shit to me.

Fucking brainlet

I don't get this argument, there's really nothing to 'get' or miss depending on your brain capacity. It's just a political SoL that's unnecessarily long and uneventful. Not everyone's cup of tea for a reason.

>looks like the filter is working.
No it's just boring.

You're just reading it wrong. When something is "comfy" that means that nothing happens but it has other qualities that make it enjoyable, not that the fans are PRETENDING that it's something it's not.

I dropped it after two episodes because it looked like boring fujoshit. It's good to see I wasn't wrong.

I consider myself to be a fan of ACCA, but even I can admit that it's only because the characters are hot and the music is nice. The characters were boring and flat, and the story sucked completely, but it was aesthetically pleasing. You should stop pretending it's deep or meaningful and admit you like it for the looks. There's nothing wrong with acknowledging that you liked a mediocre show because it was aesthetic.

>pretending it's deep or meaningful
did you read what he wrote?

I know I made the right decision to drop ACCA 10 episodes into the season. I liked the art and it was pretty comfy, but it was boring as fuck.

I didn't mind the slow pace of the show but the ending basically had no impact at all, especially with the antagonist getting away with everything. Don't even get me started on the whole "wealthy district fucks off and no one gives a shit" thing. The show just felt like a big waste of time.
And of course if you don't think it's some kind of mind-blowing political masterpiece people will start throwing out their usual shitty defenses like "pleb filter" or "brainlet".

It's because they're insecure and don't want to admit how much time they wasted on a gilded turd.

>Read
>He doesn't know
Newfag detected.

To those wondering why Jean looked both so familiar and slightly weird: he's based off this character from the film Blow-Up.
>this is what nips think is British royalty

How would you prevent an all out civil war but also secure your state police when it has the probability of being shut down by the new monarch? All the while that everyone recognizes you as the heir to the throne. I think Jean did a pretty good job.

>British royalty
The royal family of Dowa were basically Germans but with French faggotry.

BOOM BOOM POW POW
HIYAHHHH
TAKE THAT!

Not really fujoshit, despite how the designs are.

Not that guy, but one of the tracks on the OST is called "Kiss Me" and played in several scenes with Jean and Mauve, and with Jean and Nino. Plus the mangaka writes gay porn for a living. The fujoshit subtext is not subtle, at all.

who?

The series was simply just there. I stayed for the political drama and twists and I was mildly satisfied.

caps of ACCA OVA when

just like the Sachsen-Coburg und Gotha, oh sorry, Windsor.

The problem is you thought it was about politics. This is actually about bread.
