What was before the Big Bang, Sup Forums?

pic kind of unrelated

Wellll.... Lets see. There was nothing.

So how did nothing create the big bang Nixon?

It evolved.

Brady's the best QB ever

There is no 'before' the big bang, because it's the expansion of space AND time. It doesn't mean there was literally nothing, there's simply a point where space does not exist in a way we can observe. There is no such thing as literal nothing, 'nothing' can never be anything more than a concept.

Real role model. Brady sucks.

We can't comprehend nothing =/= Nothing can't exist.

If there is no before then there is nothing to cause it, it's called Causality.

It's like asking where the universe comes from. The universe literally encompasses anything that exists, so to talk about 'outside' or 'before' the universe is nonsense. The universe is the very context wherein things can be said to exist, and it is the entirety of time.

The universe contains causality, it can't be 'caused' by anything because that thing would have to exist, and would therefore be contained in the universe, which is all that exists.

Kek was before the big bang

It is settled. The big bang is ........

So you believe God exists then?

God created the universe. The universe did not create God.

You need to think of the big bang as less of a 'bang,' and more of like a boundary, a point in our observable universe where the very fabric loses it's ability to hold shape and 'ends', or you could also say wraps around itself like an inverted mirror ball.

No, not in the sense of an original being that begets everything. That's too complex a thing to be the start of everything.

I think our brains are the only sentient thing that we know of so far, we are the universe observing itself.

If God exists then he is inside the universe, which is existence itself.

>the big nothing.

There was no before because the Big Bang created time.

a lot of foreplay

Nothing you chode.

and a bit before that was the compression part of the cycle of the previous existence.

The universe only exist because God exist. To define the universe would be to define God

Isn't Peyton the guy that literally raped a chick by sitting on her face?

then came the anathema that we call the almighty who said 'let there be light'

Dunno I watched him play football not do porn.

If we're talking football, Brady is superior by every metric.

Everything, and nothing.

I believe that the universe is basically eternal. We only think of the big bang in the context of linear time, but time isn't linear, that's only how our brains interpret it. Any moment that occurs in time will always have occurred within the expanse of time, in other words all moments are eternal.

It takes a lot of complexity to make our brains work, to think , reason, store memory, etc. All of that takes a highly complex biological organ that has evolved over millions of years, and must grow from infancy in every individual. God's mind however, seems to come before all that? Why? Why would a being with an intelligent mind be the first and only thing that exists? I say the universe always exists and my evidence is the universe. You say god exists, and your evidence is a book contained in my universe.

before the bing bang, the princes started playing the accursed flutes and drums in order to make the dreamer fall asleep and dream the world we live in, they continue to play to this day, but one day, they will stop, he will wake up, and it will be over

Perhaps you should clarify that.

jesus jerks off dogs

It's literally impossible to know
we can only guess
one such guess is that the universe is actually an infinite cycle of big bang -> big crunch -> big bang, etc.

however since the universe expansion is accelerating, this seems very unlikely

Go Pats!

Also fuck your gay thread, OP; this isn't a Polynesian physics forum.

I take it your universe is a single plain ever expanding. I say the universe is a multi entwined group of phenomena tangled together by one energy force called God. Sorry but 2 whiskeys in and I cant find the words best to describe.

It's worth noting that things contained within the universe seem to follow that continuous pattern of expansion and contraction. Stars being born and dying, the cause-effect relationship, the beating of the heart, etc. It's possible that these patterns are an expression of the overall nature of the universe, like a giant beating heart.

Waiting for your turn?

Problem with that idea is that entropy exists. Sure these things repeat themselves, but they cannot do it forever, and eventually these cycles do not sustain themselves and everything is distributed equally until no work can occur

Atoms formed

Sure, I understand these problems, I just think that we aren't yet capable of seeing it all from the right perspectives. Are we sure that what we observe from within our slice of reality is how it really is? If the universe is repeating patters, it may also create illusions the way some observations to in our visual world. Maybe we still need to learn how to see time to understand it, maybe we are seeing illusions that we cant unserstand from our perspective.

Otm Radby.

And God is a good example of one of these illusions, resulting from our limited view of time as being linear. As well as from our self-centric point of view, we see the universe revolving around us as persons, so we make god the ultimate 'person' who is the center of everything, rather than the result of it.
