I don't like edge, lolis or ducks. Is there any reason for me to watch Tanya?

Well there's a lot of military porn in it, if that's your cup of tea.

If it's not, I don't know why you'd ask the question at all, because apparently you just hate fun.

decent comedy

Fuck off and kill yourself.

Come for the violence, stay for the character development. Also fan art.

>disliking any of those things

...

if you do decide to end up watching it, get past the first couple of episodes then decide. Don't just drop it cuz the characters a total edgelord in the first few scenes

I am not begging anyone to watch something. Fuck your ass.

It's actually very funny and not that edgy.
You see Tanya is trying to be such a good soldier that she'll quickly be promoted away from the front and live her life happily and safely in peace, but not such a good soldier that she turns out to be irreplacable at the front. This balance act leads to funny situations.

No, it sucks.

What character development? Tanya is basically the only character and she doesn't develop at all.

>This anime has all of these prominent elements I dislike
>Should I watch it?

>hfw she sees your dick

She starts caring just a little bit about her officers

You can watch for the Frogchan.

Aoi Yuuki

>ducks

I giggled.

Why couldn't they make the art just standard cute moe? WHY?!

Read the manga, Tanya is supremely moe instead of a duck.

I miss last season so much. There were so many good shows.

tanya is moe

...

Woah, Disney made a new gritty Ducktales reboot?

...

Lehrgen is going to win the Tanyabowl!

Do you like Worldwars?

Gives you a reason to wear a fedora and browser Sup Forums.

>You
>Jo
REFERENCE??????

What about being wehraboo?

Because traps are gay and Op is a fucking faggot

>tfw you have a fuckton of free time and can watch any anime that you're curious about without needing to ask stupid questions

>traps are gay

are you gay, faggot?

As someone who is in the military all the fuck ups they pull makes this a 10/10 comedy.

It is Schadenfreude

>i am cum

aoi yuuki

...

>equating modern military strategy to WW1-era trench warfare + magical dogfights

I like toothpaste, oranges, and icecream, but not together

This is actually part of why Youjo Senki is interesting since Tanya is bringing modern military strategy into a WW1-era.

Loli nazi killing communists. If you need something else you're a filthy jew

Not liking loli

how fag are you?

You've never had an orange creamsicle?

Originality

what's the appeal of a overused art style?

kek

>What character development? Tanya is basically the only character and she doesn't develop at all.
retard

It gaves me motivation to kill imperials in Valkyria Chronicles

Aoi acting is fucking amazing and having a villain protagonist is much more interesting than someone who suffers from chronic hero syndrome

>having a villain protagonist
Fuck off being X

holy shit this is shadow the hedgehog levels of cringe.

You'd think so, Mary Sue

The animators don't want you fapping to her.

>I don't like ducks
youtu.be/p4_qmZPdZcI

I just love how everyone is like 'lol nazi loli', and I'm all like 'nazi's didn't exist yet you fucking retards, and because they essentially won, they probably never will.'

Tanya killed all the nazi's. Praise her.

>edge, lolis and ducks
picked up

Does Tanya ever grow up in the Manga, or is she still a loli?

I think she's 14 in the later novels

>Lolis and ducks
So is this show princess tutu with some edge thrown into the mix?

The LN and manga cover a side-story that takes place well after the war (equivalent of 1960s/70s or something) where journalists are trying to find out about her.
If the webnovel spoilers are to be believed, she goes missing after the Empire loses the war and everything about her is erased from record. In the ending, it turns out she started her own PMC in Not-America, IIRC.

>I don't like edge, lolis or ducks. Is there any reason for me to watch Tanya?
Well if you like genderbender, reimaginings of WWI/WWII, isekai or pyschotic magical girls, those are all good reasons to try it.

Sounds like I need to get working on the novels. Busy finishing the Madoka series, then I'll work on that.

>Tanya is actually a narcissistic businissman
>God is a narcissist too
Turns into a giant pissing competition and Tanya's attempts to spite a comparitively all-powerful being that fucks her with irony at every chance and she gets back at him by continually thriving in shitty situations she is actively placed in by god. Imagine having a really cunty boss that puts you in the shittiest jobs, but you're really good at it and everyone thonks you're amazing so it bites both if you in the ass

no but you see it's "ironic." It's a satire ABOUT shitty characters in dumbfuck settings doing stupid things for terrible reasons.

It's was okay. Nothing special.

ironic shitposting is still shitposting.

wait, so it's Black Adder?

So you can learn to like edge, loli, and ducks.

That... is more correct than it ought to be.
Huh.

For the underappreciated comedy.

>gets touchdown

>Tanya is Blackadder, Zettour is Melchett, Lehrgen is Darling and Visha is George
I can kind of see it, honestly.

You could just like well-executed shows instead of shows that feature X, Y or Z and you might find Youjo Senki to be an decently-written show.

Here's your touchdown.

...

How old is rerugen you think? Quick google search says that the minimum age to normally become a Lt. Colonel is 38, but he doesn't seem that old. Would Tanya be older than him (salaryman years + loli years) mentally?

meant to quote this, not the OP

Well he was recently promoted from Major (he's actually a Major when he first meets Tanya, IIRC), so there's that. Plus factoring in Isekai logic, the high mortality rate of soldiers in WW1/WW2, life expectancy during that era in genera, etc. and you can probably assume he's going to be younger than 38. Probably younger than Tanya's combined years (11 + 30-odd, at a guess).

Why is the LN scheduled for November? I want my Tanya goodness now, but at least its actually got a release date unlike the manga

If you doubt your desire to watch it after reading the premise, you should actually be discussing anime on another website.

meme series, just ignore it completely

I just starting downloading it because of these two posts.

I like alternate history shows most the time, but they don't make use of the WWI setting in Tanya. I mean why use super sayian dog fights instead of treches? Also why is it like bootleg Europe instead of the real deal?

>Also why is it like bootleg Europe instead of the real deal?
Makes it easier to paint in broad strokes without offending anyone.

Yeah, but it's about as effective has hentai censorship

>funny loli
>le ebin fights
>atheist fedora tipping
Avoid it.

I was hoping for more of . Is this just a joke?

Of course it is a joke from fans. Not even the manga takes the joke that far.

What a shame.

mages are airpower dumb dumb

Happy to hear that, user.

Honestly, there are a few Blackadder-esque moments, but Tanya isn't as cowardly as Blackadder and she's more than slightly more psychotic.
It's still good fun though, coming from someone who was raised on Blackadder.

Post the rest

Beginning

Middle

And end.

Truly the best pairing.

I don't know either. Why not just use the same art style as the manga? The anime looks like complete dogshit in comparison. Completely ruined the character designs.

What is that?

You'd have thought impregnating a lower ranking officer who's also a minor would have fairly serious consequences, but who knows?

Utterly disgusting, should call the child protection services.

Historical British comedy series from the 80s. One series takes place during WWI and the main character keeps trying various schemes to sent away from the front lines (which invariably backfire), which is where the point of comparison comes in.
