How the author usually concludes conflicts in previous chapters is through acknowledging that a large-scale fight can mean great destruction and ending it peacefully. That's how the Dragon God arc and the sealed spirit during the school trip arc ended their conflicts.
What we could see in the next chapter could mirror this structure. Nonko and Oboro drop in to save Kogarashi and the girls, forming enough leverage for the Yuragi tenants to force an armistice with the Tengu.
To be fair to the author he may not be good at drawing fights for longer than one chapter.
What if he is not actually Yatahagane? maybe koga just got possessed by a Yatahagane spirit.
His master was Yatahagane, he told it in the beginning of the arc.

We already seen that the author isn't the best at drawing action scenes, so i'm pretty sure you are right. Either way theres only 3 ways this can end.
1. Nonko/Oboro come and crash the party
2. The spell reverses and Karura is put under it
3. The spell just doesn't work on Kogarashi because he is to strong
Pretty sure at one point Kogarashi mentioned that he was stronger than his master. He was probably possessed by the Yatahagane and trained to be stronger than him
