Even if he's doing it out of sheer passion and doesn't care about money, money is always nice. Passion alone doesn't feed you, and let's not forget that Tatsuki is one of the lucky ones whose passion has been acknowledged by the masses, for every Tatsuki there's thousands of nobodies who never manage to make even 1/100 of what KF is doing. I'm sure that more than one of those such people who did things "just out of passion" ended up full of resentment and bitterness because they were never acknowledged.

Still, it's not so bad for him as mentioned here and he'll always be in a good position as long as he remains as a core staff of the KF project and Kadokawa realizes he's important to it instead of going full jew and hiring a literally who yes-man.

The ED is abandoned amusement parks from all over the world. The park itself is not based off of any specific zoo as far as I know.
