Generally you've got two options
One is to take the genre/artist/author of the last series you liked and check out what other stuff they've done
The other is to go on Batoto and hit RANDOM in the hopes that you come across something that catches your fancy
Then again there's also these threads but the 'no spoonfeeding rule' can make it a bit tricky
Personally I take a manga I like, pick out one of the tags (the more specific the better) and keep checking similar series until I find something nice and comfy
That was how I got to A-Channel after catching up with SYD
