and this handsome fella

All the characters have inconsistent as fuck writing. Kakashi's background stroy was shit, too.

>Literally nicknamed the Copycat Ninja
>Only actually copies about five jutsu
Should've been called the Kamui Ninja

he's not great tho

My favorite character, but wasn't consistently great. Could somehow use kamui ten times a day after fighting for two whole days, and don't even get me started with that ghost ms susano'o - the biggest asspull of the whole series

I thought Shikamaru was pretty good throughout.

It really felt like they were going to do something with her character considering all the hints and foreshadowing. What a waste of a cute character design.

>Alucard even being a character in the first place.

You obviously want a character who's already great to pad the faggotry of the protagonist and leave room for development.

That's the entire purpose of saucegay, to get people into the series while the protagonist remains a jobbing cunt.

Without them, you have series where nobody likes the protagonist, like Deadman Wonderland.

Kakashi gaining Susanoo was mostly due to Obito giving him a present to make up for instigating multiple conflicts just to be reunited with Rin.

Anime Goku Black

...

Such a waste of good design.

How? Kakashi was the closest thing to a normal ninja that the series had. How can you honestly hate a ninja who wants to read porn in his free time?

Kakashi was the closest thing to a ninja, then he was able to spam kamui and everything went to shit, then his eye got stolen and he was even more useless than Sakura

Jotaro wasn't a character, he was a secret weapon. Polnareff stole the show.

...

I was talking about Naruto as the protagonist. Kakashi is literally another character designed to keep you tolerant of the shit protagonist.

Everything that happened in the Final Arc was being his ability to control. He didn't know that Obito was alive and working with Madara, or any of the stunts that they were pulling during then.

Urahara Kisuke

Not that SAC is a shit series but it isn't on par with the movies.

and that was the biggest ass pull of the whole 700-chapter series. Obito being somehow able to do that after dying goes completely against the fucking concept of chakra.

Best girl

You sure about that OP?

Yahallo~~

>the biggest ass pull of the whole 700-chapter series

I'd say Madara getting one shoted out of nowhere and being replaced with some literally who at the end was much worse

Of the five characters in this thread I'm familiar with, I didn't like any of them or was ambivalent and considered them to be have terribly executed character arcs.

I guess Alucard was fine for me, but I don't remember enough to say how well he was constructed as a fully fleshed out character. Kakashi is absolutely overrated in terms of writing (horribly inconsistent backstory/early character interactions due to retcons aside, he's just there), especially as an easy and safe character to empathize with (cool, smart guy unaffected by baggage but without the drawbacks)

Unpopular opinion time: Batou is a much better PoV protagonist for Ghost in the Shell and Innocence is the best movie in the franchise for this very reason.
