>excellent pacing unlike Dragon Ball Z >consistent animation unlike Dragon Ball Super >fantastic world building >the theme is consistent throughout the entire show (the abuse of Dragon Balls) >consistent power scaling >amazing abstract ending
This is objectively the worst taste found in Sup Forums
Blake Mitchell
>Keeping Goku a kid throughout the series >First saga = poor attempt to mimic Dragon Ball's feeling of adventure >Minion "stronger than Majin Buu!" >Pan in general >Android 17 + Android 17 (with a trenchcoat!)=SS4 >SS4 isn't a natural progression from SS3. You can skip from SS1 to SS4 if you can control G.Oozaru >SS4's magic pants. Also why is Goku ONLY an adult as SS4? >Becoming Golden Oozaru because of "blutz waves" is bullshit >Trunks was lame. >Goten was a complete shit character >So was Marron. Shit and useless. >Bra, with her being the daughter of Vegeta and Saiyan heritage, never fought. Shit character. >Uub, the second coming of Goku, was shit >Even after fusing with Buu. Shit. >No adult Gotenks, not like it matters because Trunks/Goten individually were ruined. >Pan not becoming SS. But Goku Jr does. >Piccolo was basically absent. Except when they killed him off. >Same with Krillin >Was Tien even in GT? >Gohan's loss of Mystic wasn't explained >Gohan supposedly continued training, but was completely useless >Kid Goku's base form = SS3 Buu Saga Goku >Despite that, Kid Goku cannot hold SS3 for a decent time >Kid Goku beating Freeza & Cell at the same time, base form, with a stick >SS4 Goku cannot beat Super 17, but Base Kid Goku can in one shot >SS4 Goku cannot tank a ki blast from Omega, but Base Kid Goku can >7 Shadow Dragons, basically only Goku fights >GT stands for "Goku Time". Fuck everyone else. >SS4 Vegeta was useless >Vegeta in general was useless. Except for his body being used by a villain. >Final villain was bland, lame, and had a boring personality and terrible design >Terrible dub OST
Samuel Hernandez
because what you listed wasn't very good, a machine mutant stronger that buu? are you nuts? Don't get me wrong GT had good ideas, ssj4 is legit to me. The execution was bad. I mean having stronger bad guys is fine, but just how they did is bad as the god of destruction came out only BoGs was still better because it still had that toriyama feel.
Levi Parker
You did forgot some other bs GT delivered. >Goku acted heroic or messianic 95% of the time. His personality was more similar to the 90's Z movies. Same for Vegeta, who regressed to his Cell-saga personality.
Oliver Anderson
>Gohan's loss of Mystic wasn't explained He stopped using it and thus lost it. Super pulled the same shit
Ethan Murphy
Well at least Super addressed it
GT made it seem like they just forgot about it
Owen Perez
Toei pls go
Colton Turner
>I didn't like it so it's bad Bet you cried bitch tears when Vegeto underperformed and Trunks cut Zamasu.
GT ran for like 64 episodes. Super didn't even touch it by that point.
Justin Nguyen
>Bet you cried bitch tears when Vegeto underperformed and Trunks cut Zamasu. Vegetto underestimated his fusion time, and?
GT Gogeta also underestimated his fusion time but at least Vegetto's fight was WAY better.
> GT ran for like 64 episodes. Super didn't even touch it by that point. So? That's GT's fault. You can't excuse a mistake GT did just because it got ended at 64 episodes.
Owen Jenkins
I always thought the ss4 transformation was fucking stupid.
Landon Johnson
I haven't watched GT in something like 10 years but i remember Baby being a decent villain, and right now Super hasn't done 1 thing that i like except re-introducing a bit of tactics to its fights(which we all know are not gonna matter in the end)
Ryder Torres
youtu.be/uPDP3S4dYcY The Blue Water OP was hype. Canadian DB OPs in general were great.
Lincoln Gomez
I liked it, SS4 is still the best one in the series. A lot of people hate it for the same reason they hold most opinions, because it's the popular one. Lots of people hate it and make long rants about why it's bad so people who barely remember it or have never even seen it take them at face value and assume it's terrible. It happens with tons of cartoons and game series.
Tyler Lee
I just think it's a weird jump from ss3 to ss4 monkey fur and shit. I'd thought ss4 should be them getting closer to beings of pure energy or something not getting hairy.
Landon Peterson
What bothered me about SS4 (besides Goku's magic pants, Vegeta's super mullet, the dub's edgy voice, etc) is that SS"4" isn't a natural progression from SS3.
You can literally skip to SS4 from base form, as long as you can control "blutz waves"
Lucas Howard
>excellent pacing unlike Dragon Ball Z Until they get to the metal people planet and it just becomes DBZ >consistent animation unlike Dragon Ball Super No >fantastic world building Again, dead after the Metal people planet. Stop taking the first arc as the whole series >the theme is consistent throughout the entire show (the abuse of Dragon Balls) That is literally only how the story starts and the last arc. The Baby and Super 17 stuff have absolutely nothing to do with Dragon Balls. >consistent power scaling There was only SS4 to deal with. DBS is longer so there's more forms and shit. I guess I can give you this one >amazing abstract ending True enough
Sebastian Campbell
It's unnatural because the Goku shrink down was unpopular so they needed to bullshit a reason to get him back to being an adult
Ayden Anderson
>There was only SS4 to deal with. DBS is longer so there's more forms and shit. I guess I can give you this one
Remember:
Old Man Krillin > SS4 Goku (Baby Saga) > Building > Base Kid Goku > SS4 Goku ( Post- Baby Saga) > Car Crash > Trunks
Anthony Hughes
Super 17 and Babi were insufferable, the transformation was weird as fuck and inconsistent with the series (as interesting as it might be) and the powerlevels got ridiculous yet the fights didn't seem to be that much more impressive. Also Pan.
Xavier Thompson
god those vocals are so bad compared to the original. They're ignoring all the high notes and drag on so fucking slowly while the music is still fast and upbeat. Just make a new fucking song at that point.
Andrew Morgan
Good
>Return of ape form/tails >Idea of shadow dragon saga >Idea of Baby >Ending, best ending besides Dragonball
Stupid
>Goku is a kid >SSJ4 >17 saga >Pan >Baby and Shadow dragon return >All other characters but Goku and Vegeta useless
If Goten was the protagonist instead of Goten and Goku was dead or something it would have been a lot better.
Dylan Bailey
Actually windows>SS4 Goku since there was that time he was blind from falling into one for like two episodes
Chase Gutierrez
I liked the SSJ4 concept, although it's obvious that it isn't the same transformation as the previous Super Saiyan stages. Definitely more interesting than "just add God Ki to the SSJ and walla"
Connor Sullivan
The amazing opening makes any problems it had irrelevant
Adrian Rogers
>what is martial arts
Hunter Butler
>Gohan supposedly continued training, but was completely useless Gohanfags can never catch a break
Mason Torres
>GTFags are now old enough to post here End my life please
Chase Davis
To be honest, ending was good because of nostalgia. It wasn't because of what GT achieved, but because they showed DB/DBZ. It was hard for me watching Goku for what it seemed to be the last time, all the memories and the feelings they brought in that clip, and I can't believe how much I like that song even though it's gay as fuck.
Gabriel Mitchell
GT Kid Goku being ugly as fuck is reason enough to hate the show.
Landon Kelly
So I only recently hopped on the super train, and I never watched ANY of GT at all. But after reading this thread, I'm really glad I fucking didn't. All of this shit, even the "positives" listed sound like utter garbage.
John Jenkins
Kill yourself you frogposting scumfuck.
Jack Diaz
>boring as fuck episodes until baby is introduced >boring as fuck side characters >boring as fuck battles because Goku is the only one able to stop the dragons >power levels are so fucked up Goku is the only one able to do anything I give you the final 2 episodes. That was good.
Daniel Gonzalez
>Keeping Goku a kid this is actually good though, Kid Goku is just a much better character. everything else you listed is true though
Brayden Adams
>Vegetto underestimated his fusion time Aren't the earring fusions supposed to be permanent?
Benjamin Anderson
>>excellent pacing
>That boring slog the universe arc is (how the fuck do you manage to make space exploration boring is beyon me anyway, props to that) >That stupid dimensional board game >Super C17 "arc" looking like a shitty filler like the TV Garlic one >The first half of the dragons arc
>consistent power scaling SSJ4 Goku jobs more than Super SSJBlue Vegeta and his kamehameha do nothing
I admit the ending was cool
Brandon Wright
>pedro
Ryder Watson
>kissanime Fuck off.
Hudson Allen
GT was bad, super is shaping up to be worse, wait till Super finishes and leaves everyone disappointed and then see what people think.
Adrian Hall
>Sup Forums filename
Mason Martin
>Aren't the earring fusions supposed to be permanent?
Only for Kaioshin.
Hence why Vegetto de-fused in the Buu Saga (Buu's "air" didn't de-fuse Vegetto, just like it didn't de-fuse Gotenks)
Fortunately Potara fusion lasts double the amount of time that Fusion Dance fusions lasts.
Nathaniel Parker
When you're pretending Dragonball GT was good, you've become too contrarian for your own good. I think you need to get away from Sup Forums for a while to recover.
Isaac Hughes
Gotenks isn't a potara fusion. I feel like these are just thin justifications for retcons.
Jonathan Taylor
It was never confirmed in DBZ that Buu ONLY de-fuses Potara Fusions
Jose Price
GT production was better than Super, their writer is worse than Super tho, tobedesu.
Leo Carter
>>Pan in general
She's the best female sayian in the series and a pretty spot-on merge between Gohan and Videl.
Nathaniel Stewart
>So? That's GT's fault. You can't excuse a mistake GT did just because it got ended at 64 episodes.
Then Super is equally faulty.
David Wood
>super is so bad people are starting to like GT
Benjamin Cruz
pedros have always liked GT
Dominic Diaz
Dragon Ball Z became pointless after Freeza's saga. Everything else was a shameless attempt to work the golden eggs hen to death
Jaxon Torres
>GT Pan's the best female Saiyan in the series Excuse you
Tyler Gomez
>Then Super is equally faulty. Super actually explained Gohan's loss of Mystic. GT didn't. What are you talking about?
Anthony Barnes
Super had a luxury that GT didn't have: a much more extended screentime.
Daniel Ward
>>consistent power scaling It's funny, I never hear a word about Pan being reduced to tears by an empty soda can.
Elijah Campbell
Did Pan actually ever win a real fight by herself?
Eli Kelly
Right...it's Super's fault that it didn't get cancelled like GT did.
Again, what are you even talking about?
Kevin Robinson
well at least Goten was given some fine piece of ass in GT. He's been shat on non-stop in Super.
Angel Taylor
Super is guilty of more than half of this shit, ESPECIALLY nostalgia pandering.
Josiah Kelly
The luxury of having a longer screentime. Judging by the 75 episodes factor Super is equally faulty.
You're welcome.
Robert Hughes
I don't really care as much for Dragon Ball universe anymore, but, when I did, GT always seemed off. The new places they travelled to were just taken from fantasy 101 with no creativity whatsoever. The villains didn''t have enough time to build up hype and they were taken care of too soon, without setting up a network of events that would bring to their demise. Honestly, that was the main reason I stopped caring about anything DB related. It just felt no heart whatsoever was put into this shit and the team itself had no idea at all on why the manga series was so successful to begin with.
Charles Cooper
>feel like these are just thin justifications for retcons. Welcome to the majority of DBS!
Michael Harris
Palace is as interesting as stale bread
Also Goten didn't do shit in GT. The most screentime he got was when he got possessed by Baby.
Owen Cook
Super IS guilty of some of these points.
But where Super faults, GT is somehow exponentially worse
Jeremiah Garcia
As stupid as his name was Baby had a pretty interesting backstory though.
Isaiah Murphy
Gohan's lack of Mystic was explained way back in RoF
Super = lack of training GT =??? (especially since the GT Perfect Files state that Gohan continued training)
Camden Morgan
Baby was actually the only part I cared about. It was kind of annoying they went too fast on how the Earth was taken over by him, as that is the perfect scenario where Dragon Ball tends to use the whole cast at its best.
Josiah Cruz
>starting
Colton Bennett
I liked the idea of a villain that didn't start immediately on par or stronger than the heroes but had to work his way up instead, from getting easily killed by Pan to being a threat to SSJ4 Goku.
Jeremiah Lewis
SHUT THE FUCK UP SHUT THE FUCK UP SHUT THE FUCK UPPPPPPPPPPP!!!
I'll skullfuck your mother and you grandma you fucking piece of shit. I WILL POST ALL THE FrOGS I want to AND THERE"S NOTHING YOU CaN DO ABOUT IT REEEEEEeeeEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Cooper Wilson
Vegeta - Technically absent throughout the only passable arc in GT (Baby Saga). Couldn't beat an unfused Android 17. Cheated his way to SS4, and only jobbed with it.
Goten - Not only is he useless (DBS Goten is pretty useless too), but he barely has a presence in GT in general. I can't count Baby Goten, since that's technically Baby not Goten.
Gohan - Jobbed even though in the GT time-line, he supposedly never stopped training. Very unimportant in the show in general as well.
Trunks - At least he got some screen-time in the first saga, but after that he was pretty absent and unimportant. Not to mention: not only was he was surprisingly weak, why did he have Future Trunks' personality?
Pan -
Uub - As Goku's "successor", he wasn't' very useful or important. Also nerfed heavily after the Baby Saga.
Buu - Only purpose in GT was a few scenes with Mr Satan, then get absorbed by Uub (which in the end, was pretty pointless)
Piccolo - Mostly absent in GT until it they killed him off.
Yamcha - I think he was in literally one scene in GT? He wasn't even doing anything and didn't say anything either iirc. Pointless.
Tien - Was he even IN GT?
Daniel Murphy
Mystic looks uncool There. FUCKING EXPLAINED
Kayden Williams
Standards were higher in the 90s. Especially when DBZ had just handed
Connor Sanchez
Dragon Ball stopped being "Dragon Ball" starting with the Cell Saga
Jackson Hughes
As flawed as GT was, at least it gave you the impression that a fuck was given about the show.
