Bernie Sanders’ ‘Medicare For All’ Online Town Hall Draws Over 1 Million

Did you watch Bernie's Town Hall?

Health care must be recognized as a right, not a privilege. Every man, woman and child in our country should be able to access the health care they need regardless of their income. The only long-term solution to America's health care crisis is a single-payer national health care program.

Bernie's plan will cost $6 Trillion less than the current plan.

All working families should be covered.

Nice bait. Bernie doesn't realize health services cost money. Nothing is free you socialist leech.

Canadiens hop the border to get better health care, get the fuck off my board commie

No one said it would be free. It is paid via payroll taxes.
Payroll taxes ensure that every working family pays their fair share.

Get the fuck out, Americans only.

As a Canadian with universal health care, it's okay. It's helpful in an emergency but if you need particular care or treatment, you get screwed. Waiting period of 8 months for an outdated surgical procedure really sucked. Went down to the States and got a much better surgery on my family's dime.

The U.S. is fine if you are rich or have a good healthcare plan through your employer.

If you don't you are screwed.

The U.S. spends more on health care per person, and as a percentage of gross domestic product, than any other advanced nation in the world, including Australia, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Japan, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. But all that money has not made Americans healthier than the rest of the world. Quite simply, in our high-priced health care system that leaves millions overlooked, we spend more yet end up with less.

Other industrialized nations are making the morally principled and financially responsible decision to provide universal health care to all of their people—and they do so while saving money by keeping people healthier. Those who say this goal is unachievable are selling the American people short.

Americans need a health care system that works for patients and providers. We need to focus our federal investments on training the health care providers. We need to ensure a strong health care workforce in all communities now and in the future. We need to build on the strength of the 50 years of success of the Medicare program. We need a health care system that significantly reduces overhead, administrative costs and complexity. We need a system where all people can get the care they need to maintain and improve their health when they need it regardless of income, age or socioeconomic status. We need a system that works not just for millionaires and billionaires, but for all of us.

Honestly, make sure (((Bernie))) doesn't shill for open borders and say white people don't know what it's like to be poor and you might be able to sell it better.

He isn't entirely wrong on banking and some foreign policy from what I've seen. The education stuff could actually be helpful if done in a fiscally responsible way. The abortion stuff wouldn't fly all that well, though.

From what I heard, it punished people for NOT having healthcare. And it sent premiums sky rocketing.

>Honestly, make sure (((Bernie))) doesn't shill for open borders and say white people don't know what it's like to be poor and you might be able to sell it better.
I'm not in favor of "open borders", but the reality of the world is always more complicated than most people think.

The "white people don't know what it's like to be poor" quote was definitely a fuck up.

>The abortion stuff wouldn't fly all that well, though.
The trouble with abortion is there is no "compromise". We can't go back to the old days though - that's how you end up with women dying in back allies and the wealthy just "going on a vacation" somewhere that it is allowed.

Healthcare premiums were always "skyrocketing" and have been for decades. Obamacare didn't change much about the price.

Obamacare does institute a "penalty" in the form of a tax if you don't get coverage.

Medicare for all would not do so, as it would be paid via payroll taxes. I would not be opposed to an "opt out" where you get a tax credit.

htf is HC a right but a home and food aren't?

The Soyfather's video analysis of a Jason Peterson interview on BBC4 posted 6 days ago has 800k views. Who fucking cares?

You being sick and spreading disease directly affects me.

You being a stupid crazy person who wants to live on the streets does not affect me.

And it's cheaper. I have the negative right to not be infected by you.

Basic healthcare. Paid via payroll taxes.

As the liberal gets more crazy prepare for a false flag imminent

You dont seem to understand m8.
Coming from free healthcare country it ONLY works if people are fit to begin with.
Massive overweight people cost too much per year. Its even more funny that you think state paid doctors will be friendlier than private ones- in fact they will be more pissed because private ones will rake in more money.

Why don't we adopt a two-tier system like France?

The guy who bought a $600,000 home with his bernout's cash?

>Two-tier system like France
I'd be fine with this.
I think Medicare for All should provide basic care. If you want "upgraded care" or to go to private doctors who don't accept "Medicare for all" coverage, I think you should be allowed to.

Doctors should not be forced to accept coverage, unless their place of work is federally funded.

Fuck that faggot Jew.

...

We should steal this issue. Don't let the libtards be right about something.

LMAO FREE SHIT

This guy gets it.

THE MIDDLE CLASS SHOULD PAY FOR HEALTHCARE FOR NIGGERS!

350 million people

Draws 1 million

Very impressive.

>Health care must be recognized as a right
Cringe

desu as long as it's not mandatory i don't really gaf. i just hope it's actually something that can work, but i'd bet it won't.

>Health care must be recognized as a right
Yeah sure thing commie, I've been waiting for a new family doctor for a fucking year, and I'm not allowed to just walk in a pay someone, fuck off nigger. Socialized medicine is bullshit

FWE SHIT DOODZ!

Conveniently not mentioned is the rationing and waiting lists.

Payroll taxes? Yea that should go over well.
