Then the enviroment becomes stable again and the process slows down. The accelerated state weeds out the most undesirable traits, the slower phase brings them up again. The ultimate conclusion from this is that we need conflict to become better, to develop faster. And not just biologically. This translates to every aspect of our development. Just look at how 2 world wars accelerated us technologically. Peace is detrimental to us, conflict is a drug that pushes us forward. This is one of the ultimate redpills.
