It depends on the amount you eat, one serving of crab could lead to your scenario. Going to a seafood buffet and eating nothing but crab could make your scenario unlikely, also don't just assume his quirk is just like the base animal it most likely augments thr animal trait too.

The only good way to use his quirk is if he's either in South East Asia where you can eat large amounts of insects easily or if he was a villainous poacher in Africa.
