There's new stuff about this Sci;Adv title with Daru as MC. From Steiner:
>Setting is Tanegashima. Frau is involved. Daru is the protagonist, it's from his point of view. >A massive World Line Divergence occurred in the year 2016, knocking the world off-course from the Steins Gate. >Something in C;C caused the split. Since then, the fight against the Committee of 300 was postponed, they've been trying to return to SGWL. >It's R;N in spirit, but with more of a Steins;Gate-styled approach to "saving the future". Will appeal to fans of both. >Characters (maybe)/Concepts from Chaos;Head will also play a role. Okabe and the gang know the truth of what happened during Chaos;Child. >Daru's experiences on Tanegashima are the key to repairing the broken world and resuming the good fight against the Committee. That's all.
I wonder if events taking place are after R;N or before?
Jacob Young
does this come out before 2020?
Jacob Williams
>It's "Steins;Gate 2: reach the Steins Gate again" but we're gonna call it Robotics;Notes 2 for some reason
Joshua Rogers
I like the idea of Daru being the MC, but why does every S;G game have to be about trying to reach S;G instead of just taking place in S;G?
I just hope Maho will be relevant again.
Dominic King
Because they'd have to commit to moving the setting forward with completed character arcs and that's beyond most japanese writers.
Levi Morales
>Steins;Gate is literally hijacking its sister stories now
BRAVO CHIYOMARU R A V O
Landon Ross
>Setting is Tanegashima. Frau is involved. Daru is the protagonist, it's from his point of view Eh. >A massive World Line Divergence occurred in the year 2016, knocking the world off-course from the Steins Gate This shit again...? >Something in C;C caused the split. Since then, the fight against the Committee of 300 was postponed, they've been trying to return to SGWL. I'm interested in the cause. Fuck the rest. >It's R;N in spirit, but with more of a Steins;Gate-styled approach to "saving the future". Will appeal to fans of both. It's just another Steins;Gate then. >Characters (maybe)/Concepts from Chaos;Head will also play a role. Okabe and the gang know the truth of what happened during Chaos;Child. Alright, I can dig it. >Daru's experiences on Tanegashima are the key to repairing the broken world and resuming the good fight against the Committee. That's all. Really? That's all?
Isaac Flores
>Really? That's all? That's all as in there's no more info at the moment.
Christopher Foster
Why can't the story just move forward already? Why does S;G have to be plugged every single time? Why do they keep making "sequels" to their stories?
At the very least, this shit better be set after the first Robotics;Notes.
Jackson Robinson
>Why does S;G have to be plugged every single time? Why do they keep making "sequels" to their stories? Money.
Jacob Carter
The last line makes me think it's set after, but for all we know it could even be set during the first game.
Jace White
>Daru is the protagonist We just had this in 0 and while he undeniably improved as a character they of course can't drop all the shit that made him annoying before so following his antics the entire time got old by the end, I don't want even more of that
Christopher Wood
Pretty sure 0 still followed Okabe user.
Nolan Cooper
Why can't the timeline just stay unfucked after everything Okabe's been through?
Tyler Baker
A lot of it was about Daru too, it had multiple main characters. I don't dislike the character but his parts with Suzuha and his waifu felt repetitive by the end to me, which is why I don't want more.
Jason Cook
>interaction between the semi colon stories is finally happening
Leo Myers
World line drift is a natural phenomenon, the future is unwritten and is made by actions in the present. Unfucking the future once is a trial, but keeping the future unfucked is impossible until the future has become the present.
Joseph Thomas
I would have preferred they saved that for the grand finale.
Although, it's possible that this could be the setup for the future installments.
Lincoln Bailey
>R;N character isn't even the protag of the new R;N That's hilarious. Also Daru's the "magic up solutions through non-descript hacking" character, aka he's better off as a side character and not the protag, I already don't like the sound of this.
Jose Turner
Same. I would have preferred the story was told through a R;N character's POV. Now, it's just Steins;Gate 2.
Liam Bennett
It does seem that way, especially since "the fight against the Committee of 300 was postponed" bit gives them an easy way of making a sequel where they do that once they get back to the original timeline.
Ethan Thomas
>A massive World Line Divergence occurred in the year 2016, knocking the world off-course from the Steins Gate.
Poor fucking Okabe. 5 years later and Kurisu is just going to vanish before his eyes after all that suffering. Will he ever catch a break?
Brayden Torres
>A massive World Line Divergence occurred in the year 2016, knocking the world off-course from the Steins Gate.
Oh no. They actually went and completely undermined Steins;Gate.
Christopher Morris
This seems like a 1.5 story to be honest. It will probably end with everything being where it should for either a real Steins;Gate 2 or a new ensemble story, but expanding the setting and cast enough to accommodate that without it being a sudden shock.
Jacob Smith
She's the best girl, isn't she? Duhuhuh
Adam Phillips
I'm worried that they'll tack more and more onto Steins;Gate until it all collapses under its own weight, all while ignoring / forgetting what made the original S;G so brilliant in the first place.
Lincoln Reed
>R;N sequel >Daru is the MC instead Well fuck you too Chiyo. Why can't we have a new series that handles all the Committee shit instead?
Nathaniel Rodriguez
I'm still pissed they made S;G and R;N fiction within O;N. I liked the anime and can't wait for the novel.
I don't get why Daru has to be the protagonist of R;N when any of the character being so works just fine, specially Frau Koujiro.
Brandon Miller
>I'm still pissed they made S;G and R;N fiction within O;N. Why? It's a layer of meta irony, nothing more. It's fiction in real life, too.
Xavier Moore
Because it means S;G, R;N and O;N can't be part of the same universe / story.
Elijah Brooks
Technically they are by virtue of one existing within another.
Thomas Cooper
VNs aren't Sup Forums.
Kevin Wood
>R;N sequel is a S;G one Fuck you Chiyo i'm tired of your bullshit at this point
Dominic Campbell
>multiple main characters I'm kinda glad I didn't pick up Zero. It sounds like a shitfest. Steins;Gate was already perfect as it was.
David Nguyen
Zero was solid. The "multiple main characters" thing is redundant since the story is told through Okabe's eyes 90% of the time. The POV switches every now and then to a third person perspective, but Chaos;Head did the same exact thing and still managed to have nice and neat storytelling.
Zero isn't a mess at all.
Isaiah Clark
>It's R;N in spirit but it's literally Steins;Gate 2
Fixed that for you OP.
Brandon Bell
While Zero wasn't a mess, you can't deny that it lacked the sharp focus of the original.
Ayden Morris
Are we getting a localization for Chaos;Child? Wouldn't be able to play this if we weren't.
Carson Rivera
Yes.
Tyler Hughes
Yes. Later this year I think.
Connor Collins
Ok. I've just gotten that picture from what I've read.
Levi Reed
This is probably the funniest bit of them all. Chiyo can't write a new story without throwing in Steins;Gate now. Instead, he'd rather have Steins;Gate absorb its sister entries.
This should have just been a new entry with a new name set in Tanegashima, instead of being given the Robotics;Notes name. It almost seems like he didn't want to write another game with the Steins; title in it, but at the same time be able to write a new entry for Robotics;Notes like he did with Chaos; and Steins;
Wyatt Mitchell
No. They're sacrificing C;C to localize R;N and C;H Noah.
Hope you like it.
Jaxson King
We can't even play this without Robotics;Notes. What makes you think they'll localize DaSH when they haven't localized R;N?
The only official localizations we'll ever get at this rate is the Steins;Gate stories because fuck everything else.
Austin Torres
In terms anime what as there been in the franchise? S;G, R;N, C;C, and C;H only, is it?
Hunter Howard
>Robotics;Notes DaeSH
Gavin Turner
>Robotic;Notes sequel >actually Steins;Gate sequel They're not being subtle about their cash cow
Adam Reyes
Why would Steiner bring it up if it's not getting localized then?
Dominic Martin
Every entry has been animated.
Steins;Gate lucked out and got a great studio which gave them a great anime. Said studio will be returning to animate Steins;Gate 0.
Tyler Howard
Soon enough, we'll get another Chaos series, but hijacked by S;G. With Daru as a gigalomaniac.
Owen Jones
Steiner's word isn't the word of God. He has said before that they'll announce them any minute now about 2 years ago.
Nathaniel Rogers
Didn't realize. Are they worth watching? I liked S;G and R;N but fucking hated C;C and C;H
Kayden Nguyen
I would imagine it would have Faris as the MC and having her dumb, crazy stories actually come to life.
Chase Gonzalez
I hate every single anime in this franchise. I can tolerate Steins;Gate's anime, but everything else wasn't given any justice.
Considering everyone else loves S;G's anime and sees R;N as a snoozefest, and the Chaos; anime as pure, rushed garbage then I would tell you to only watch Steins;Gate.
Brayden Turner
...
Andrew Martinez
Even the S;G anime mangled some parts, particularly chapter 9.
Austin Garcia
All those little details. I love it!
Parker Diaz
>Steiner mentions a possible Chaos;Head Elite Would this be the only hope of getting a Chaos;Head localisation? Because that's all I want. I just want to be able to play Noah officially.
Where is that new patch that improved the bugs at? I've only played the broken one.
Anthony Butler
>S;G absorbing R;N Man, fuck you Chiyo.
Jacob Howard
Guess it's a good thing I started to learn 日本語。 tfw you only learned ~60 kanji before losing motivation to learn more
Lincoln Garcia
On the bright side, Chaos;Head and Chaos;Child still remain pure.
For now.
Alexander Perez
Kurisu already plays a big part in the Mio backstory manga
Lincoln Jenkins
Eh, I'm not too bothered about this since it's just a manga and not a full game.
Asher Johnson
Well then. Looks like all of the suffering Okabe went through in the Beta Field was for naught. all that work for a world line without constant time fuckery and your reward is nothing.
I don't really know what to say.
Julian Barnes
blame the chaos children
Robert Ross
Why is Chiyo so desperate to ruin what has been, up until this point, a truly great series? These silly asspulls and shit isn't what we need, we don't need SciADV to go like Fate has.
Noah Evans
We don't know enough yet. Wild speculation always hits off the mark with these sorts of teasers.
Colton Gomez
>great series Someone hasn't played Darling, Phenogram and LCC. They're honestly dogshit, don't except aynthing good from this series after CC:LCC
Grayson Sanchez
He could've start anew with SVN. But nope, let's ruin SciADV while at it.
Adam Ortiz
I meant in terms of mainline games.
Owen Morris
What happened to C;C LCC? I loved the shit out of C;H LCC. How could the new one be any worse?
Easton White
Darling and Phenogram were just silly non-canon spin-offs though.
Nathan Wilson
Seriously if they are going to fuck around with worldlines after they get to Steins;Gate let's just have Steins;Gate 2: Kyouma Boogaloo, and not Robotic;Nope
There is no point in just pretending that anyone other than Okabe is going to have any fucking idea what the fuck is going on whenever a world line switches.
Worldline switches make no fucking sense with no Reading Steiner.
Also what are the odds we get ANOTHER Suzuha
Andrew Gonzalez
I wanna like SVN but I've become so heavily invested in SciADV that SVN is something sitting on the backburner for me.
I couldn't finish O;9's anime, and A;C looks fucking retarded.
Kayden Gonzalez
Apparently the writing was poor. The primary antagonist's motives and the way all the characters were written was completely opposite to their motivations in C;C. There were complaints about how it seemed like they were written by people who didn't know them.
Noah Johnson
Fucking great, another thing for me to place my hopes in that will inevitably lead to my disappointment.
Jaxson Campbell
It'll probably be Daru getting a frantic phone call from Okabe telling him that the worldlines have changed.
The player won't realize something has changed since the story is being told by Daru.
Connor Turner
>another Suzuha Seeing that we almost got one in Antimatter, maybe we will get more for DaSH.
Nolan Roberts
I really wanna fucking dive into Chaos;Child but I don't know nip and it's the longest entry to date (which means localization literally fucking never). Also, I don't want to watch the anime because LOL SILVER LINK and it's only 12 episodes so it must be rushed to hell.
Somebody just end this torment.
Brandon Stewart
Tell me about it man. All the way back when Steins Gate first came over I got the limited edition from JAST, in the hopes that it would get Chaos;Head over. I like Steins;Gate, but I loved Chaos;Head. Then I double dipped and got the limited edition vita version, I got the anime on both DVD and Blu Ray, I've imported the limited editions of Dual and Elite, artbooks, the lot, even some figures (Frau scale and Nendo).
I just want a Chaos;Head release over here. I don't care if it's crowdfunded, digital-only, android-only, whatever. I just want it over here. And every time a company tries to get it, the retarded nips take it off the table for absolutely no reason other than the fact that they apparently don't like money. Which is at odds with their general jewness, but somehow that's the only reasonable explanation for it.
Hell, at this point I don't even care for the quality of the translation. I just want it over here, so at least the series as a whole has a chance to thrive. Because no matter what they claim about Chaos;Child, you need Chaos;Head, and not having it will sink it.
Adam Russell
Okabe, Master of the Exposition Dump. Sounds fucking horrible. What was even the fucking point of getting rid of the PhoneWave if every couple of years some asshole is going to fuck with time anyway.
In hindsight Okabe should have just kept it and never used it unless it was an emergency. Unless you fuck up with the input it doesnt function anyway so there is 0 chance of anybody finding out about it. It also could help against random fucking timeline changes
Joseph White
I remember the publisher saying years ago they'd like the text adventures to be localized but apparently translating the sheer amount of text is difficult.
It's 2017 and there hasn't even been a single mention of localizations aside from Steiner getting our hopes up for nothing. I remember recently he said that Chaos;Head Noah will never be released in the west and to just never hope for it.
Lincoln Ross
Steiner has also said that maybe it'll come out one day, and doesn't seem to have a reason for never compared to his previous stances. I don't know anymore. I'm not expecting it, and I'm hoping the fanlation effort works out (Committee of Zero was it?) but it's just depressing to see the series be sabotaged so hard for no reason at all.
Hudson Thomas
Steiner confirmed earlier that R;N DaSH isn't a continuation of R;N so what the fuck is even the point of calling it R;N?
Christian Rivera
stupid gaijin, all you need is steins;gate. your friends seem to love being fucked by steins;gate so join them
Brayden Garcia
To make it so people buy the original R;N so that they can know what is going on.
Even though this is basically just Steins;Gate 2: Daru edition
Basically they are probably trying to drum up sales on the original R;N
Nathaniel Morales
Chaos;Head Noah never. Reminder that Steiner and Blick LITERALLY have the fully translated patch sitting there, but can't release it.
Brayden Green
Can't they just give it to someone else to release it?
Tyler Nguyen
Believe me, we have all come up with a multitude of ideas and asked the same exact questions, but to no avail.
Jordan Taylor
Wasn't there a confirmed C;C localisation by 5pb though?
Luis Cook
It was never confirmed. If there was, we'd be singing and parading all across the world, but it's not confirmed at all.
The closest we got was an apparent accidental leak by some company that also accidentally leaked a Steins;Gate 0 localization in its catalogs.
Since then, Steins;Gate 0 was officially announced, translated, and released but Chaos;Child hasn't had any official announcements.
