But Petry is also an Example how politicians with centrist views end up in the AfD: They leave and try to build a new party which usually fails big time (see also Bernd Lucke and his new party Alpha). Additionally there is a huge "political" market for an unapologetiv right-wing party since the fugee-situation becomes more out of control by the day. More and more Germans are furious and demand togher action against them.
Next to political new-comers the AfD also have lots of ex-members of established parties in their rannks. These experienced people will eunsure that the AfD won't pander to fringe-groups like Neo-Nazis.
So all in all, i would say, the AfD is doing extremely well right now and is not in danger of cucking out or ruining it by retarded actions.
It's good to hear. My biggest fear was that the centrist types would take control and leave the better people out in the cold. Gauland and Weidel are doing a good job though. Keeping an eye on Weidel though since a lesbian is not exactly the best rodel for a right wing party but she seems less moderate than Petry. Even Petry seemed based when she said the thing about shooting migrants though. Who knows. I just hope the likes of Höcke aren't too stupid and actually gain a big influence in the party.

In fact germany has a massive overpopulation problem. it's extremely hard to get an apartment, rents are too high, lots of once good and green areas are lost to roads and other infrastructure stuff etc. also think about automation.
