Personally I find it fun how much the series mixes itself up, every season has completely different strong points and weak points. That's not necessarily good but it is unique.

According to Amazon, the special edition of the Vivid BDs cost ￥49,800 and the main bonus is a daki. The regular BDs are ￥9,726. A currency converter say that that's a difference of $247.45. That isn't nearly $300? I'm sure some dakis are cheaper but these are the most recent.

There are 2 different versions. One has Nanoha and Vivio and the other has Fate and Einhard. You'd have to buy 2 special editions if you want both.

The manga clearly puts the most effort into its loli fanservice art which has been a major selling point as mainstream loli series have become less common over the years. The anime seemed to care more about its action sequences. This upset quite a few fans.

I still prefer the anime. Nanoha started out animated so it just doesn't feel the same without all the voices, music, action, and color.

What relation does this have to Nanoha? I haven't watched any of the parent Nanoha series so the premise of this show is confusing as fuck.

Nanoha got magic and nabbed a space wife and had a space daughter and saved the galaxy, the world was peaceful so the daughter and her friends didn't have any bad guys to fight, so instead they started boxing.
The space daughter is also a clone of space Jesus and every side character is a cyborg ex-antagonist.

Vivid is a direct sequel to StrikerS, set 4 years later. You really need to start at the beginning with S1. There's a lot of continuity between all seasons. Ignore anyone who tells you to start with the movies. Watch everything in production order.

You can probably watch Vivid Strike! and maybe Vivid and understand almost everything without prior knowledge of the franchise, but there isn't a good reason to do that, the old series and movies are what most people regard as better.

It's best to read than watch Vivid since they never finished it. They also never get to the cool shit in the anime.

Fate is a space wife tough. She is part of the navy as an enforcer, she probably spends as much time in a ship through space and planets with criminal activity, as she spends on land with her family.

The start of the anime is very slow, if you don't like it after watching 3 or 4 episodes before dropping it try watching the Movie 1st instead which fixes the anime's problems.
