Big pharma started producing pain pills in bulk and peddling them to white middle class americans. Then the recession hit. A bunch of middle class whites los their jobs and became depressed, resorting to pain pills to get through the day. then, when they ran out of money they went to harder shit like heroin. Its all a massive business by big pharma and elements of the government to make a shitton of money.
