Reading Vol 1-2 felt ike the first few chapters of Oyasumi Punpun until the part where Punpun gets raped.

The first episodes were pretty good, but it turned to depressing lately. Although that shit couldn't hit me, cause I didn't expect nothing else from a LN than some muh heavy suffering for the end.

Compared to to novel, the adaptation had both bad episodes and great ones. Occasionally it felt rushed, but sometimes they managed to make 5 strings of text into a beautiful or comfy moment.
