The main antagonist in the manga and anime was Tigers' Den, a mysterious organization that trained young people to be villainous heel wrestlers on the condition that they gave half of their earnings to the organization. Tiger Mask was once a member of Tigers' Den under the name "Yellow Devil", but no longer wanted anything to do with them, instead donating his money to the orphanage. This infuriated the leader of the organization and he sent numerous assassins, including other professional wrestlers, to punish him.

They already got a draw on the first match, so the score is gonna end up 2-2. Okada will lose vs the Third and Tiger Mask will take his place because he's hurt.

That one change up made watching the episode previews all season worth it.

No, Yellow Devil was the NICKNAME he got in the USA(and kept in Japan) as a Heel.

Also, he was quite happy to keep being a Heel and sharing money with Tiger's Den, LTD(which, by the way, was called Tiger Cave, LLC back then) but had to skip a few to help his old orphanage which put him on Tiger Cave's blaclist to be killed.

That strikes me as a incredibly dangerous move with no way to receive it properly without maiming you.

It was meant to go on for longer, Gaiking was a huge dark horse success. The problem was the actor voicing the main protagonist Daiya had an accident and they had to abruptly end the show because they had no recorded lines.

It's a pretty common plot development in Wrestling.

I can think of a few times where the referee gets distracted just as someone gets knocked out then a friend of the KO'd guy interferes with the match knocking out the winning guy and pulling the loser on top for the pin.
