Molester Man was kind of an asshole. Not a huge asshole, he just had this low-key shitty attitude throughout the story, where he's constantly deflecting responsibility for his actions. More than a little self-centered, too.
Which would be fine except he he never grows or matures through the story. I guess that's just because it's based on a true story, and real people rarely go through convenient character arcs, but that doesn't stop it from being unsatisfying.
