You can't even name a single year from the 10s that comes anywhere close to this. Hell, even if you put all the 10s together I don't think you can beat 2007, let alone 2006, 2005, 2008, etc.

Kaiba is a masterpiece, but it aired in 2008, not 2011. Madoka has its good points, and it was novel at the time. HxH was a sanitized adaption. The manga already exists, and did it better. SnK is utter turd.

It's not quite fair to compare it to 2007, which has long been known as possibly the best year ever. But you get similar results, just not quite as big, if you compare to other years, so it gets a pass.
Anime in general had a really good period from 1998 to some point in the late 2000s, maybe 2009, I don't know (although 2000 and 2001 has literally no relevant anime, don't know if there are any hidden gems).
I think 2011 is considered a pretty good year, though. - Chihayafuru - Madoka - Stein's Gate - Usagi Drop And many more, like Hyouge Mono, Fate Zero, Hourou Musuko, Hunter x Hunter, Hanasaku Iroha, Mawaru Penguindrum...
