1.: The earth isn't pear-shaped though, it's an oblate spheroid, the deviation from it is rather miniscule though.
2.: It's not that you're too small, the field of view of the camera is just fairly limited.

The single photo demonstration of this effect you're referring to was a photograph of a body of water which had cloud cover closer to the camera. You are trying to use a photo taken from space to prove a flat earth.

Because of relativistic perspective. An observer looking at any source of light will see rays coming at different angles depending on where they observe from. Light shining parallel over a porous surface will still be bent down by the surface itself and shine down into its pores.
