Pollo Loco Madoka

What did she mean by this? Why would she ask Homura to basically sacrifice her life for her sake? Seems completely out of character.

Haven't watched Rebellion btw

Also,
>thermodynamics

>Why would she ask Homura to basically sacrifice her life

When the fuck she ever said that?

Clearly she somehow magically predicted that trying to keep her from making a contract without her dying and stopping Walpurgis was going to be impossible and would result in Homura going on an eternal quest.

Well, Madoka is the hero! Of course she's the one who wins!

Honestly OP it's as obvious a question as "Why does Uraraka suffer in silence while Izuku gets comforted by friends and family alike."

Well that's the implication. Madoka should know at that point that at least Homura would have to become a magical girl or everyone would just die anyway.

Homura was already a magical girl. And Madoka wasn't even thinking about Walpurgis.

Along with the implication that there's only one person in the entire universe.

Said implication appears in the OP for another show, as well.

Did Homura already have her soul gem even when she went back in time to before she got it? If so, my mistake.

In that very scene they already got assblasted by Walpurg so she probably should've been thinking about it huh

>Did Homura already have her soul gem even when she went back in time to before she got it?
Yes.

Yes, that's why Kyuubei didn't know where the fuck Homura came from. Also you can see she had her soul gem after going back in time, when she cures her bad sight with it right after waking up.
Not that you mention it, Madoka not taking Walpurgis into consideration was a mistake on her part, but to be fair she was dying and full of regrets at that moment.

Still seems like such a cop out by Madoka
>hey I don't like how my life ended up, you go back in time and take care of this shit without me k?

Is Homura the actual hero in the series?

If you knew a time traveler and you did a bunch of stupid shit you would ask her to go back and prevent it too
She may not have entirely thought through the consequences of her request, but she was in the process of turning into a witch so you can't realy blame her.

Going back in time to save Madoka's ass was what Homura became a magical girl for, and Madoka in that loop seems aware of that. Madoka is scared of becoming a witch and she wants to live, so she's asking Homura to go back in time to prevent her from contracting in the first place.
This is no longer needed when Madoka saves everyone by becoming a goddess in the last loop.
Madoka, in the end, is the hero. She's the one who cleaned shit up.

Madoka was the one to clean shit up just because she was the only one who could, and that was because of Homura.

Also she did a pretty shitty job with the cleaning since everyone still ended up having to fight witch 2.0's forever.

There's no solution that doesn't involve magical girls having to fight for their wishes, because that's not how shit works.
The fact that she was able to change the laws of the universe is impressive enough.

>come across witch labyrinth
>it belonged to a shut in NEET who did nothing but sit around and play vidya all day until they witched
>the whole place looks exactly like a level from DOOM
What do?

Fighting the wraiths was the point. It was by Madoka's design. They weren't as bad as witches and they weren't corrupted magical girls.

IDDQD

do a 360 and walk away

Better question.
Why isn't Homura Tony Stark yet?
You'd think she'd try making an Arc Reaction and weapons based around it to try and see if that'll put a dent in Walmart Nights

Because that's not a thing
