No.

Manga already states everything is afraid of Ogre even cancer cells.

And manga implies only Ogre's dad is strong enough to probably injure and beat up Ogre.

That is why Ogre told his father's spirit to fuck off.

Yes. That's why we're introduced to his see-through vision: so we can have a narrative justification for seeing how Baki is fucked up during the fight but not see how Yuujiro himself is injured. The purpose of this is to make Yuujiro appear infallible from a reader's perspective. The logic of 'if you can make God bleed, people will stop believing in him' applies here. If Yuujiro were ever to be visibly wounded, he would stop seeming like an absolute, unreachable ideal.

And this is somewhat verifiable with the advent of Musashi. Once Musashi cut Yuujiro, people began to start saying things like "Musashi will kill Yuujiro and Baki will ____ in response". They were wrong, but the important thing to note is that Yuujiro being injured in the slightest was the origin of that widespread impression.

Yuchiro was pretty weak in the doppo gaiden.
He fought against a guy (he was payed to loose) but he still got some pretty significant damage (and he has cauliflower ears too).
Yujiro only recognised him as strong because he heard stories about him, i find it hard for him to be stronger than yujiro.

You'd have no normal way of knowing this, but that chapter was just an homage to Masahiko Kimura vs Rikidouzan. From a narrative perspective, Yuuichiro had to have been visibly hurt; otherwise, it wouldn't make sense as an homage.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Masahiko_Kimura#Kimura_in_professional_wrestling

the characters undoubtedly skipped a few power levels after the tournament though

He still had cauliflower ears, just because it was an omage doesn't mean it shouldn't be used as a feat.

The tournament from the first series? Yeah, a little bit. But, time had also passed, so there's that.

...

Doppo also cut up Yuujiro's wrists. Don't think so much about it.

Yujiro was pretty weak in the beginning, as the series progressed he started getting upped in level

And, in the same way, it's not particularly telling that one random feat gauges Yuuichiro's strength. Yuuichiro defeated the USS Iowa (or whichever ship it was) on his own; Yuujiro's never been shown to do anything like that. It's been said that he can, but we've never seen it. And there's got to be a reason that Yuujiro was freaked out by him showing up, you know.

He was pissed of than anything, when he disappeared he even said it was nostalgic.

Still fits under the definition of "freaked out". But, even if it didn't, - "Yuujiro was pissed off by him showing up" still has to have a good reason behind it.

Oh, and by-the-by, the kanji here refers to 'lingering', 'wandering', 'being somewhere that you shouldn't, etc; and has a pervasive connotative use that refers to the dead vis-a-vis ghosts (think: "a ghost 'wanders the earth'"). So, Yuuichiro is definitely supposed to be dead.

He won fucking vietnam

It's so weird though because this is chronologically AFTER Yujiro stops and Earthquake with a single punch

As I recall, he was, at the most, part of the reason that the US pulled out of Vietnam. That's not really "winning" anything. He was only there to fuck around; he had no stakes in either side.

It also probably required less effort. Not trying to 'compare feats' here, just being pragmatic: Yuuichiro fought off an army of soldiers from a rocky, barren island surrounded by hostile military vessels. Yuujiro fought off an army of soldiers who had few reinforcements, in a thick jungle. I'm sure that both of them could have done either task, but one scenario clearly doesn't take as much work.

So he is scared of the man that could've gotten his jaw broken by young doppo while he trashed him easily? (And this was beginning series yujiro)

He didn't (necessarily) stop the earthquake with a punch. It's almost completely covered-over by what Strydum says - which reads, in an idiomatic translation, about to the effect of:
>There's a good chance that the earthquake's stopping might not have even been a coincidence.
So, Itagaki made sure to cover himself in case he didn't want the power-scale to change that drastically.

Of course, there's also the alternative reading of that line by Wild Fang, which goes:
>What tenacious self-confidence... If he wanted political power he could dominate the world!!

You know, you'd think that I'm being snarky with that, but I'm not.

All of the top units (seals etc...) tried to kill him, they were all hunting yujiro down and he still smashed them without a sweat

heh
anyone got the picture with wild fang boasting about their "perfect" translation? Fucking assholes.

>all of the top units tried to kill him
This is the USS Iowa.

>anyone got the picture with wild fang boasting about their "perfect" translation?
No, but I've got one of the worst things that you will ever see in your human life. Because of how much second-hand embarrassment you get, I feel almost bad posting this. Here's the leader of Wild Fang reenacting the film "Aliens" with action figures:

If seeing this doesn't make your day worse in any way, I can't imagine anything that could.

Yeah let's just nuke everything and hope we hit the guy we can barely find

what the fuck

Fuck chileans, man.

Jesus christ this can't be real

>anyone got the picture with wild fang boasting about their "perfect" translation? Fucking assholes.
The funniest part is that the picture itself had a grammar mistake.

They're chileans? I'm one myself and I had no idea. I thought they were huehuehues.

just browsed through the channel and found more cringy shit

Here it is. We're supposed to think the lower res scans which get basic grammar wrong are better.

why is he like 7 feet tall and baki is a midget?

I see this shit all the time in spic ESLfags. They love using all the idioms they've learned just to show off.

The actual answer is probably that it makes for easier visual representations of powerlevels when seeing his scrawny ass about to fight the masses of muscle.

why even name the series after him

... because he's the one fighting the masses of muscle with his scrawny ass and winning?

Each and every time you see that image or anything else from Reichan, try to remember that this is who wrote that text/made that image.

How are we supposed to know which is wrong?

The first impression is that the second one has more content, so surely it must be the original while the first one would be a beginner's translation.
Then you look at the original and see a simple (while deep) conversation. He just shits out fancy words and thinks he's better for it.

hes a side character

>How Musashi will respond to that?
I'm inclined to not believe the one that can't right get basic sentence structure.

Welcome to fighting manga I guess.

Wait, how is this related to him being a midget again?

You don't even need to measure the quality of the English text or anything. Seriously, all you have to do (in this case) is just put the raw text into Google Translate.
>闘争が目的地ではなく手段か?
That weird "true goal" stuff or whatever isn't in the text at all.

But, let's not make this a Wild Fang-bashing thread. It's a Baki thread first and foremost, after all. So, I'll pose a question: what do you want first, Dou 126 or the last chapter of Kenjin?

I'd rather see Kenjin finished first. Get it out of the way, so to say, though I did like it.

Dou 126 is already out, the chapters go up to 133

The *real* Dou 126.
And no, the chapters do not go up to 133.
I independently made extremely low-effort scanlations of like ~117-130(whilst skipping some chapters) to piss off Wild Fang; there's a long story behind it, short version is that those aren't the real/team releases.

'Reader sites' like kissmanga or mangafox or whatever other cancer just scrape data from real scanlation sites for releases, and they do not update the chapters if anything changes because there are no humans managing their uploads. Use batoto. That's the only proper way to keep up-to-date with the changes and actual releases.

And then, there's pretend-translations that aren't actually translations; those go from 132-133 as-of-now (I think). They have about as much fan fiction in their text as does any given chapter of a Wild Fang release. Do not take the text of those chapters seriously, in any way.

I'm getting really tired of explaining all of this like twice a week to somebody new; would anyone be willing to write up a standardized response for this kind of stuff?
