How come japan thinks it's a good thing to bait and switch with romance? To slowly build the relationship between two partners only to replace one with another character who is neither as good nor as developped as the first one? What of the viewer's investment in the character? Are we expected to switch gears so easily?
This is as though Richard Geere actually dumped the slut in the trash (where she admittedly belongs) ten minutes before the end of the movie to marry another character. Not that zaShunina is a slut, but he's the heroine and Pretty Woman is the only romance I remember watching right now.

She directly disproves that and made the show shit. Episodes 9 and 10 ruined every bit of moral ambiguity and questioning of Kantian ethics that had been building up before hand, tossed out in favor of easy answers and a cheap "heroine gets her guy" scenario. We have two more episodes to get back on track. I'm hopeful, but I won't be expecting much.

Not too crazy over how things have turned out these last two episodes, wanted to see Nonomeis-hein in different applications and show the larger scale ramafications of it (which i guess we'll see next episode) The viewing of the higher dimensions was cool though and the fact that there are many other antistropic beings does leave open possibilities.

Saraka just seems more of a possessive nut to me then anything, though yes Za isnt putting himself in a good light either he is at least so far still adamant about improving humanity, Saraka just wants things left as they are even if it only leads to their heat death.

In context, I'm pretty sure male-female is the right translation. If the director thinks women will pick up his show for romance, I kind of doubt he's thinking they'll pick it up because the romance involves an intersex/hermaphrodite/androgynous character.

also this isnt even an issue with the philosophies of zashunina/saraka, both of them place humanity at this sort of pedestal so really this is just something the show as a whole wants to convey to its viewers.
