>it will flop, they said

>Season 3 never they said.

>comes out in 2 days

It's not unusual for shows to rocket up the charts in their final week.

It'll still be one of the biggest s2 sales drops ever.

At least Durarara won't feel lonely.

Durarara would die laughing actually

I'm just glad theirs a studio out there willing to adapt such a large work, i thank the lord everyday this isn't berserk 2017, THANK YOU WITT!

>barely 3k points
>for a series that used to have 5 digits

it's a massive flop

Any bets on how much lower S3 would fall?

If they get to the basement, people will be burning BDs and cancelling preorders in the streets

>one of the best selling manga of the decade
>not even the best selling show of the season
Say what you will

It will sell 3k. Also expect huge quality drop in S3.

Meanwhile, season 4 gets announced after season 3's 2 cour run ends.

That's not some new occurence.

The show makes money with sponsorships, and it has really great viewership so even if you don't buy BD's the merch and advertisements alone can fund witt.

There is absolutely no way we'll get to the basement next season. We'll get the rebellion Arc.

Durarara s2 sold poorly? Thank God, that anime sucked.

>can fund witt
WIT doesn't get any money from that. Kodansha owns the manga and Kodansha gets all the money. Kodansha paid WIT to make the anime and that is the only money WIT gets. That is why WIT wants to make its own anime, like with Kabaneri where money from BD sales, merch, etc. went to WIT.
Fujoshi, why don't you wait two days and see if it's a flop or not. It does have event ticket, that is what you landwhale loves. And this *29位/*28位 needs to stay at least for a month, not 2 days before release like in this case.

But they will reach the basement.

Maybe if we get 24 episodes. In 12 episodes there is no chance.
A LOT happens between the ending of S2 (around ch.50) and chapter 85

>Not even 3k

The first season did 50k

They teased going all the way to volume 24 so obviously 24 episodes

I want it to be 26 episodes instead of 24-25

Going from 50k average to 2.8k on BD 1 is a massive disaster.

so attack on titan is selling poorly?

>not even 3k
>Granblue sold over 50k

It's a disaster.

They announced third season alongside with image of EMA looking at ocean.

Apparently, it's selling badly in terms of disc sales.
Then again, most shows sell low and unprofitable amounts of disc sales. Yet, apparently, domestic streaming is making up for the loss of domestic disc sales, and of course, selling streaming licenses to Chinese and Americans more than makes up for the reduced numbers of disc sales.

But ultimately, does all this shitflinging still matter if it's already been confirmed that it will get a third season?
After all, the only shows that one should care about how much discs they sell are the ones that still haven't gotten a sequel announced.

Well that sucks. Only way they'll get that far is by rushing things.

season 3 cancelled announcement when?

Everything but idolshit and gameshit sells like trash these days.

yeah they have to adapt 35 chapters to get to the basement, and that doesn't even include the grisha flashbacks
my guess is that the kenny arc and the basement infodump will be compressed

The point is that unless your AOTS in Eromanga or Granblue, it officially sold better than your favourite anime this season.

Yeah but Uprising arc can realistically be done in 13 or 14 episodes. Then Shiganshina is pure action so that can be done in about 6 or 7 episodes that would leave around 4 episodes left if it's two cour. Grisha's flashbacks can take 3 episodes with the final episode being EMA reaching the ocean. It's definitely doable if WIT paces this right instead of blasting us with animeonly flashbacks.
