Lets talk about people who never did anything wrong

Erwin rommel is a goood start

goodnight sweet prince

>did nothing wrong
Conspired against Führer
Executed for treason

Greatest leader of his generation after his boss.

...

Shut up eurocuck

He was part of the conspiracy to murder Hitler.

Well, the man had his principles and was convinced that Hitler acted to the detriment of Germany. Also, Hitler initially wanted to spare Rommel after he heard about the allegiations (they were close friends nevertheless) but his enemies in the Wehrmacht did conspire against him and ultimately convinced Hitler that Rommel had to die ... kind of a sad story from that perspective.

>was convinced that Hitler acted to the detriment of Germany

...have to add this means that Rommel felt that Hitler did meet bad military decisions that would inevitably lose the war for Germany. That had been the issue.

He participated in the plot to kill hitler new

...

This, also his tactics at tobruk was rather primitive, just zerg rushing his men even when some units suffered up to 50% casualties.
Think it was tobruk.

...

...

Rommel was a cuck, also a useless meme general, much like Zhukov.

...

...

And? He did nothing wrong. Hitler should have been shot and replaced with a monarch. He destroyed Germany.

His involvement in the plan was never confirmed.

...

...

I fucking love Erwin Rommel I’ve got another man though. Walter Wenk.

Jefferson Davis did nothing wrong, and the lack of a trial for treason proves the Federals knew it.

Also Joe McCarthy was right! Fedgov was and still is filled with Commies.

make way for a man so based, even the allies couldn't hate him

It was. It showed he did not understand drive tactics. Very good maneuver tactician though.

Probably cost him north africa

Siege tactics not drive tactics

>Conspired against the man putting his ego above all else and costing Germany the war
He should be the most respected Nazi by both sides

He declined to join the plot but was executed just for being suspected.

He never joined the party.

Ignored Hitler's orders to hold Berlin and used his Army to create a path for the Civilians to escape

He did know some of the conspirators but what did him in was an event from the first battle of Tobruk.
See my earlier post on not understanding drive tactics.
During this battle and his inability to use something other than maneuver to defeat an enemy he scolded another officer and threatened him with a cowardice charge for not rushing his troops forward. That same officer was on the commission looking for conspirators.

So the first battle of Tobruk cost him everything eventually.

...

>ignoring a direct order from your commanding general

so it's treason then.......

...

Karl Marx

literally nothing wrong

this.

purge the kruppkucks

Fixed

Rommel was possibly the best military strategist off all time. The man was a pure genius.

He was a Nazi. He couldn't have been more wrong.

...

>Didn't warn Hitler of the bomb plot

Yeah never did anything wrong

Exactly, he did nothing wrong.

beat me to it

...

he was already dead senpai

Fucking retards. Why do you think Hitlers own men tried to kill him if Hitler was so perfect? Hitler set Germany down the path of destruction, a few brave men saw this tried to stop it. If only they had succeeded, perhaps Germany could have been saved.

This, they wanted to end the war so germany would not be raped like it did.

You idiots are as dumb as they were. After kursk you think the allies were fighting to defeat germany? They were fighting to see if capitalism or communism would dominate Europe.

There would be no peace unless Germany showed it wasn't going to be defeated.

Pure naievity to think Stalin would grant any peace once he had the upper hand.

a translation?

Especially if you look at his WW1 record. That was frankly impressive ... in a time when the generals were mentally overwhelmed by new concepts like machine guns and modern artillery.

Generally, this is a philosophical question. What is the greater treason, abandoning an order or acting against orders that are nonsensical and may as well be considered treason against the very people you as a soldier are there to defend? Btw the success of the Wehrmacht was mostly due to the high degree of freedom in decision making among the German officers ... while the Soviets bled themselves dry by following orders to the very word.
