I've watched Steins;Gate before and it is probably one of my favorite anime, but recently I saw pic related and had to do a fucking double take. I never read the visual novel, as I thought it was literally the same thing as the anime.
Did I get the neutered experience?
Leo Morales
yes, dumbass
Isaac Jones
It's a VN, a very long VN actually There are lots of routes not covered in the anime
Ryan James
You missed a lot of good stuff
Carter Johnson
Anime follows Kurisu's route, the VN has like 5 more routes or so
Aiden Campbell
d...did okabe just become /ourguy/?
Gabriel Clark
>Few suzuha doujins
What a crime to humanity
Camden Ramirez
Literally every VN adaption is a worse experience than the original bar Shuffle
Caleb Morgan
fpbp
Kevin Russell
You missed out on quite a lot user.
Adrian Wilson
>Steins;Gate >routes More like alternative epilogues for chapters.
Lincoln Butler
That's a little misleading. They're generally pretty lengthy.
Benjamin Hill
Very neutered, like literally every other VN adaptation you miss a significant amount of character development and shit being fleshed out. It's really hard to cram a 30+ hour story into about 10 hours.
James Rogers
>10-15 minutes of reading at most after D-Mail choice >lengthy Kurisu and Mayuri are the more or less the only somewhat lengthy "routes".
Alexander Roberts
That would only be the case if you skipped all the voice acting.
Lincoln Peterson
If I skipped all the voice acting it would be even faster. I skipped some though.
Thomas Harris
>I skipped some though Obviously.
Oliver Ramirez
Point was, those are too small to be called a routes.
David White
why didn't okabe just read a book?
>tfw you read all the books
okabe is such a well written character.
Daniel Ward
You'd eventually get bored no matter what you did.
Isaac Morales
All he wanted to do is spend time with his friends and see Suzu happy. Then 100s of loops later he got bored. Suzuha ending is the best S;G ending other than Twin Automata in 0
Tyler Scott
but the problem is that if he is the least bit introspective(which okabe is) he would realize that shit was not cutting butter long before he would have thoughts of rape.
which would mean he would seek to occupy his time with other medial things long before he resorts to doing such radical things.
Cooper Gray
The S;G anime has none of the alternate endings, greatly abridged later chapters, mangles chapter 9 almost entirely, and doesn't let you experience nearly as much as Okabe's internal thoughts.
