JIREN PORN WHEN

KIERO

this is a general, stop with the /dbs/ pls

I was unironically hype as fuck when I saw that scene.
1. It was the first time we actually saw Jiren in the flesh, rather than seeing him in the imagination of someone else or off meditating or being spoken about.
2. This is the first time we heard Jiren's voice. It was a bit deeper than I expected but I'm not disappointed.
3. It's clear Jiren is pissed. He probably heard about Goku's antics during the exhibition matches, and to top it off the U7 faggot walks up to him all buddy-buddy like the fate of their universes isn't at stake.
4. He was H-HAYAI. It's common in Dragonball for characters to be really fast, it's also incredibly common for them to be so fast that bystanders can't even see them. I don't think however that it has ever happened in Dragonball that someone was so fast, even his 'opponent' was completely unaware that the guy had even moved in the first place. The only thing that comes close to that is SSJ4 Gogeta vs Omega Shenron (when he punched Omega Shenron 3 times, but Shenron thought he was punched only once).

If Jiren jobs I'll be pissed. I hope he wrecks Goku's shit.

Goku did this to enemies all the time. Freeza did it to the heroes too. Cell did it to the heroes. GOHAN did it to Cell and the heroes. This happens all the time

It's the first time someone did it to Goku though iirc

if jiren was really zen, he would realize that Goku actually gave their universe a fighting chance.

Kill yourself, crossboarding faggot.

Toppo was offended mostly by his lax attitude towards the Omni-King and the other gods. On top of that he fought Goku not to punish him, but to figure out if Goku really was evil. The fight didn't really help his opinion.

Jiren has no reason not to believe Goku isn't evil, mostly because Goku himself made no effort to clear up this misunderstanding (is it even a misunderstanding at this point? Isn't Toriyama planning to actually make Goku evil, or at least an anti-hero, in the long run?).

fuck off with your general cancer shit u Sup Forumsermin

> duuuh lets make a walking cheat that easely beats mc of a 30 yrs old anime
fucking neo toei pls

This is clearly the first time it has happened. It's not like constantly stronger enemies that Goku needs to overcome showing up is literally the only plot dragonball has or anything.

lets break this down. super saiyan is a ki based tranformation. ki is influenced by emotion. cabba explains that once you know what you're doing, going super saiyan just comes down to amassing enough ki in a certain point in your spine. you know you're on the right track because your nerves in that area start to tingle.

now how might 'get really really angry' and 'put ki in one part of your body' have the same result? well either A) saiyans have some kind of instinct/reflex that leads them to focus their ki in that part of their body when they get enraged, or b) when we've seen saiyans transform from getting enraged, they have also been filling their entire body with ki,
in Goku's case because he was preparing to murder the shit out of frieza, like a diver taking a deep breath before they go underwater, and in most of the following cases because they were following Goku's example.
now because they are focusing energy all over their body, this includes the super saiyan sweet spot in the spine.
B) seems far more likely. but it stands to reason, then, that all the ki being flooded into places other than the sweet spot is not actually contributing to the process of going super saiyan. this would create the impression that you need to generate way more energy than is actually required in order to go super saiyan. I'd say this is why Vegeta, Gohan, and Future Trunks struggled so much to transform for the first time. they were trying to make their whole body tingle rather than the sweet spot, so to speak, which was more ki than they could properly muster at the time.

this in itself suggests there is a fairly significant amount of ki required to go super saiyan, otherwise spreading their ki throughout their whole body still would have been all it took to transform. just how much is hard to guage, since Goku had shit ki control until he trained under King Kai, and between then and going Super Saiyan he heavily relied on kaioken rather than generating ki normally so that may have fucked with things. that leaves Vegeta, Gohan, Goten, and Kid Trunks as our benchmarks. three of those are freakishly strong hybrids. that muddies things further. Gohan's difficulty transforming can be chalked up to his lack of training. he never trained before the saiyan saga, and he stopped training again after Namek until Trunks showed up. all up that means when Gohan finally went super saiyan, he'd only had about three nonconsecutive years worth of training. Goten and Trunks had recieved about twice that many years of training when they first went super saiyan, having started from a much younger age than Gohan and after a certain point having each other to train with when nobody else was around to do it. they also likely stumbled across the sweet spot just from playing with their own ki, unlike Gohan who tried to do it the same way Goku did.

and lets not forget that Goku is way weak for a saiyan. his also lower class brother was significantly stronger despite Goku training for about eighteen years under the best martial artists on the planet. and from what we saw 'training' for saiyans in the frieza empire consisted of using great ape to curb stomp weaklings. only reason Bardock was stronger than normal was because of zenkai boosts, being one of the few saiyans who semi-regularly got his ass kicked by the planets he was flattening.
Vegeta, being a 'high class' saiyan, likely also didn't do too much training. Not until he emigrated to Earth at least. and it took Vegeta, what, three years of training in the gravity chamber and in space before he finally transformed?

Now the visual representation of the ki being focused into the back is a fairly broad area. lets say its 10% of the body. Following this train of thought, it means Vegeta was able to produce ten times as much ki as actually needed the first time he transformed. That means a saiyan only needs to be able to generate 1/10th as much ki as Vegeta could do -just prior to the androids arrival- to transform using the sweet spot. but that's still significantly more ki than Vegeta, the elite of the elite saiyans, was able to produce for the majority of his life.

That an untransformed Cabba could keep up with an untransformed Vegeta at all during the 6v7 tournament already indicates he is significantly stronger than Vegeta was when Vegeta first transformed. and his master considered Caulifla's power close enough to Cabba's that she would be a better pick for the Tournament of Power than himself.

Am I the only who's dissapointed about manga trunk's power?

I mean, if Toyotaro wanted to, he could have gave to trunks a power up, to give him a good fight.

But nooooo, Goku fight Zamasu twice, Vegeta fight black three fucking time, trunks does nothing against merged zamasu (beside healing, so great for a warrior).

>What about his attack when zamasu and black defused

That was so fucking weak! Anyone could have done that, hell even shink could have done that.

But at least, Goku has hakai right?

stfu fag

You wantu Trunksu? *Scribbles trunks dies on a napkin* Did you rike it? (raughs)

Future Trunks is a throwaway character

So i figure this is as good as a place as any to ask, watching super has made me go back and rewatch DBZ kai. Anyone know where i can find DB kai 2014 English dubbed online? i can find it subbed but for the sake of my nostalgia i wanted it dubbed... Also it would be a nice break from Japanese Goku.

woah, what's all this? I just drew super saiyan because I hate coloring in hair (laughs)

GET LOST

I actually really enjoyed the Goku vs merged Zamasu fight. It's the first battle in the Super manga that I'd really consider among the best in the series. I agree about Trunks' misuse though. The fact that apparently Trunks standing up and cutting Zamasu with a ki encased sword after everyone else had fallen was indeed in Toriyama's outline really should indicate it should be a bigger event than the random opportunity strike that Toyotaro made it.

At least he has some great moment in the anime (almost ruined by shit writing)

But in the manga, he's dissapointing as fuck, goku and vegeta are much better in it but trunks....

In cell's arc, he has gotten stronger during the story but here, he stay weak from the beginning to the end.

Goku SSJ3 vs Trunks was promising for Trunks, but now....

try 9anime.to

What were these guys called again

Why are you acting as if the manga has concluded the fight? There may still be something for Trunks to do.

Goku vs Merged Zamasu wasn't a bad fight (probably the best in DBS manga), but still pretty generic to me (I miss Toriyama's choregraphy)

What the fuck am I reading?

nobody is into dragonball for the writing. we're in it for the magic monkey men and their incredible laser beams.

Speak for yourself. I read it for the humor and the feels.

I like the story I'm reading to make sense, even if it isn't the epitome of storytelling.

so why does Kid Trunks have a dark teal gi? you'd think Vegeta would have gotten him something that more resembles his own battle armor

Toriyama likely put him in a gi instead of a unitard like Vegeta to make him more similar to Future Trunks. Notice that they have the same boots.

As far as color goes, that was all Toei. Toriyama didn't make a color illustration of Trunks in his gi until he drew the cover of the 41st volume of the manga, long after the dark teal was chosen by the anime staff. On that cover his gi was light olive. He drew him again for the front cover of the 29th kanzeban volume, where he had a black gi like Vegeta. He was drawn once more for the back cover of the 31st volume, with a forest green gi.

Basically, Toei picked a random color when they designed him and Toriyama picks a random color every time he draws him.

Interestingly, color illustrations consistently show Goten with an orange and black gi, rather than the orange and bright blue worn by Goku and Gohan.

Nice way to avoid my filter faggot

What are you talking about? In Namek saga, Goku moved so fast that he left an afterimage that the ginyu force kept attacking. Shit is so common.

Yeah, I agree the anime handled it better in this case. It didn't give Truks the shaft i his own arc. Also, I heard that Trunks spirit sword absorbed energy from the Xenoverse, GT and other alternate timelines, is that true? In that case it would make sense if it was able to destroy Zamasu.

Yeah, in the game.

It could have made sense in the anime if Trunks learned Genkidama from goku and used energy from 12 universe (black didn't killed everyone, until merged zamasu with univer though)
