Would most people learn how to read and write if the government didn’t force them to?

No, people don't have that individual drive of their own.

The government forces them to learn, yet not a single literate black in my community.

Most people would, a lot of animals like niggers and muzzies would not though

They would if their parents taught them, and many do.
But not blacks, abos, and natives.

I’m sure they can read

Just because they don’t read the books you like doesn’t mean they can’t read.

You mommy didn't read to you every night after tucking you in to bed?

This is the correct answer.

Would make social media kind of irrelevant if they didn't.

Are education statistics fake then?

Yeah but it would be pigeon English

You want to post them?

so public education itself is an affirmative action scheme

Of course they are. Lies, damn lies, and Jewish statistics.

That's why everything sold today uses heiroglyphics instead of words so it can by sold on the babylon world market.

It's built on the Prussian model, meant to destroy the child's capacity for cognition in order to render a legion of good soldiers who will follow orders.

read a book, nigger

most people were literate in north america before (((public schools)))

Not teaching women to read would actually solve a lot of problems

Not everyone has good parents or live in a culturally rich community

Talcum X has the solution

There’s a difference between pigeon English and majority English

Estimated literacy rates among whites in colonial America was higher than any population before or since. You don't have to force white people to better themselves unless they've been systematically broken to be subservient over generations. Let freedom be the norm and people flourish.

I'm always curious how many of these posts are serious.

if the govt let them starve because they couldn't viably hold a job, then yes, they would learn to read and write in order to survive

Oddly the rise of smartphones and video games had made a small degree of literacy more useful, not less. My idiot nephew basically learned to read so he could play Pokemon.

>pika pika!
>pikachu!
>SNORLAX

That's not reading

It kind of is, he wanted to know what the captions said. He also likes to message his equally stupid friends. It isn't Shakespeare, but its letters and words (sort of). Social media and games do require an admittedly low level of literacy, certainly more than kicking a ball around or throwing stones at each other.

Kicking balls and throwing stones at least learns a person how to swear and the finer points of how sex works.

>the finer points of how sex works
I fear he may also be learning this from his smartphone

Even the people that can read do so at a sixth grade level and have a vocabulary to match. American literacy isn't the problem. It's the quality of education that's the problem. Almost every topic of study in public schools is half-assed and taught by -WOMEN- who have no idea what they're doing.

You think? I can't imagine what it must be like for kids going through puberty having unfettered access to the internet these days. I firmly believe we're in for a hell of a ride ~10 years or so from now, and that the key imperative is to understand how the transhumanists have been anticipating it.

What's really going to fuck your brain is how often young girls are going to be throwing themselves at your dick because normies will always think it's "gross" even after (((they))) drop the age of consent.

No, but at least we wouldn't have Sup Forums anymore.

the same as we had with access to our Dad's Playboys or Hustlers

nothing new under the sun

I doubt my nephew will be transhuman. Subhuman, possibly. But yes, it's all happening, faster and faster, we live in interesting times.

you must be 18 to post here

I remember when I was young you often used to find pornography just abandoned, in hedges or in fields. That never happens now. Innocent times.

I'd report you for violating Global Rule 3 but I don't care enough.

Not in the least. You ever get a modem back when the internet was new? Don't lie about what you did with it after hours when the phone bills were low.

Yup, my first porno mag I found discarded in the woods, mostly decayed. But you could still make out boobs and naughty words out of the classified ads in the back.

>That never happens now. Innocent times.
That's because these days people treat naked girls like a biohazard when it's around children and if kids get a hold of your porno magazines the cops will act like you gave them anthrax or something.

Checked for the Fuhrer, and yes, you're right. I often used to find them abandoned on the school playing fields, maybe people dumped then there on purpose for an extra thrill. I doubt it though, it will have been dogwalkers, married men wanking while walking the dog is probably pretty standard behaviour even now.

only the children of the wealthy. the poor would force their kids into child labor for income, we would return to medieval times with 10% literacy rates

Modern labor requires literacy

It all makes sense now. We need illiterate people to make our shoes and shit for pennies. That's why we pay all those kids in Vietnam to do it now. Shit it's perfect! All we need to do is create a caste of impoverished illiterates and abolish minimum wage laws! Then our economy would be self-sustaining.

But would you be causing greater suffering in a majority of the human race?

I can write in 9 alphabets, school only taught me 3.

Amazing, what good has it done ya?

McDonald’s works do not honestly need to be able to read

did you learn the other six using methods taught by the school?

>Went to a shit elementary school in rural red state hickland
>Spent maybe a week learning cursive
>They never made us use it or practice it beyond that.
>Early high school comes.
>Have to sign something.
>This is how I mention to my parents that I cannot sign my name as cursive didn't stick.
>Dad gets pissed at the school system.
>They get me a cursive learning book. Like beginner cursive for youngsters.
>I know now.

My parents would have taught me otherwise. I know that much.

School is literally animal training. There is very little learning in school these days. That would present a danger to the state.
