After all, he's lost most mayor fights he's done with it, only won with it against Takatsugi and he probably wasn't aiming for the kill, and he already lost against Utsuro with it

The amount of useless talking and bringing up the past is a massive turnoff, what could be shortened to 1 page is dragged to almost an entire chapter, i litterally skip pages without missing anything from the story. I know gintama has had corny speeches from the start but having one each and every chapter is pretty boring imo, plus the fact that almost every defeated villain joined their side at a certain point is just unnecessary, not everyone has to have some good in their hearts, either kill them off or make them disappear completely, but thats just my opinion
