>FALCON HEAVY LAUNCH STREAMS: (Falcon Heavy launch streams will be going live around 15 minutes prior to launch, or around 1:15 PM EST.) >keep an eye on this channels:
more stream links will be posted ITT over the next hour.
>wtf is a "Falcon Heavy" ??? "SpaceX is test launching its Falcon Heavy rocket, the first ever launch of the new heavy-lift orbital rocket. The Heavy’s thrust is generated by its 27 Merlin engines, which is three times the number of engines you’d find in the current Falcon 9 rocket.
That amounts to over 5 million pounds of thrust, and a total cargo capacity of around 119,000 pounds. That gives it more than double the total freight moving power of its next closest competitor. In fact, the last active rocket with a greater payload capacity was NASA’s Saturn V rocket, which flew its last mission in 1973.
It won’t be carrying anything all that heavy this time around, however – the payload for this first test launch is a Tesla Roadster, loaded up with a dummy wearing SpaceX suit for its planned Dragon crew missions, and destined for a large, elliptical Mars orbit."
>卐 卐 卐 /mig/ 卐 卐 卐 Welcome to the Mars Independent General.
This thread is dedicated to the discussion of creating a European Colony on Mars mainly by "stealth" with the possibility of even making an eventual claim to independence once enough of us have settled. This is real. This is going to happen. We need you to consider the choice.
The first Mars Colony is predicted to be established as early as 7 years from now. Very quickly the colony is going to expand, and Elon Musk has made it clear that commercial emigration will come in to play only a few years later. This means the first large influx of settlers over the next 50 years are going to be families who sell their properties on Earth for the ticket. Only people who can afford to move there will be able to. lets face it - a majority european colony on mars is the only way to truly secure the 14 words.
>Plan: /mig/ is a new general and a work in progress. feel free to contribute ideas. in short, once the colonisation effort goes commercial, we need to move there.
卐 卐 卐 /mig/ 卐 卐 卐 The general will be posted a few times a week or a few times a day. one of the main goals of this general is to simply re-inspire our fellow Nationalists, Fascists & Racialists on the subject of space exploration & colonisation. We hope to promote a new positive attitude towards life on Mars amongst those who value the future of the European peoples.

>more channels that will be hosting streams shortly
Cheers m8. If the thread gets archived I'll include this stream in the next one in a few hours.

Spacex is the only truly revolutionary company Elon musk has built. Tesla will soon be surpassed by the American car manufacturing establishment once they start investing more capital and talent in electric by the 2020s, and their Autopilot 2.0 is shitty.(should have stuck with the Israeli Mobileye tech) and solarcity is a meme and a financial failure. It's likely Elon musk will put all his eggs in Spacex once all his other ventures fail or are sold to bigger companies.

they had another stream going but it ended and this one's been streaming for 9 hours so itll probably end soon too

here's his secret plan every company he has is intended for use on mars
solar city for power generation self driving trucks for transport (not many people will be on mars at the start so transporting equiptment and supplies will be difficult without a.i vehicles) the boring company to learn how to make giant tunnels (avoid solar radiation) and obviously spacex for getting to and from mars
It will be the most powerful rocket on earth and in history >That gives it more than double the total freight moving power of its next closest competitor. In fact, the last active rocket with a greater payload capacity was NASA’s Saturn V rocket, which flew its last mission in 1973. side note: keep niggers out of space, let Africa develop its own program

the bulk of the colonisation effort is going to be commercial, only people who can afford a ticket (and are brave enough to commit to the adventure) will be going.
The goal of this general is to keep our people inspired. There is a lot of work that needs to be done here on Earth but that doesn't mean we can dream big.
Eli Hill
Cant* dream big

It will be the most powerful in service, not in history. Saturn V is still the king until BFR is ready, or maybe SLS Block II, but that will probably get canned.
Technically the N1 also beats the Falcon Heavy. It never had a successful flight, but it did get off the ground.

Did somebody steal Mars? Why does no one tell me these things?

>muh Mars If there's no economic incentives or strategic implications for a Mars colony, how can Elon expect government to give his company potentially trillions of dollars to set up his semi self contained colony? Governments who invest in anything expect a return on investment, and right now Elon Musk hasn't even made an investment pitch. He's making it easy for people to claim he's a corporate welfare queen.

Depending on the exact timing, we may get 6 simultaneous sonic booms when the side boosters land.
1 billion over 20 years is nothing a business man taking advantage of tax laws and subsidys isn't really that
electrek.co/2016/11/25/tesla-subsidies-big-three-oil-industry/ It would also be important to note that among those 8 subsidies totaling $2.4 billion, about $1 billion worth accounts for tax breaks over a 20-year period that started in 2014 when Tesla started construction on the Gigafactory in Nevada. Therefore, Tesla has yet to utilize those tax breaks and it will have to spend tens of billions of dollars in the state of Nevada over the next 18 years in order to fully take advantage of them.
Also, the $465 million figure listed in federal loan was repaid in full, with interest, early.

>goverment Maybe not. >private Maybe, most people here would love a martian etnostate and pay much to get there.

Thanks OP, keep up the good work. as a Bong, where are you at right now?
