Tarnishing Ryutaro's legacy and replacing him with a literal WHO director

>tarnishing Ryutaro's legacy and replacing him with a literal WHO director
>replacing the iconic VAs with mainstream seiyuu trash
>it's a reboot
>studio Lerche

So, this is guaranteed trainwreck right?

at least wait for a trailer

Wait til the first PV drops and then we'll know for sure.

It will be Kino

Nope

A different director already ruined everything

>implying
You really think someone can top Ryutaro's Kino?

>he ranks anime by director
Yeah, alright.

The director is literally the most important person on a project.

>it's a reboot
What?

They are trying to make Kino a mainstream hit but it's not meant to be one.

casting includes Tii so it's clear that it will go beyond the original adaptation

>no scanlines

The original series was already basically perfect, S2 is bound to go downhill.

The novels are pretty damn popular.

>A different director already ruined everything
So it was ruined the instant they announced it, or what? Nakamura is fucking dead, it was always going to be a different director.

Didn't have to be a shit one.

>studio Lerche
Guaranteed AOTY, then.

Should have delayed it to 2018 and let Shaft make it.

Arima shut the fuck up

Didn't have to be a LITERAL who director.

I just want to point at the fact that there is a character called Photo in the novel

Aoi Yuuki really wanted to do it though.

Lerche is a subpar animation studio. Honestly you can barely even call them an "animation" studio.

A.C.G.T isn't amazing either.

Honestly Kino isn't really suitable for animation. Even the older anime was kinda dull.

It had the right staff though, and that's what made it a masterpiece.
So far the staff for this new adaption is not promising.

>kinda dull
Coliseum arc was one of the most thrilling arcs I've seen in all of anime.

Shaft is the only of the two old studios which could have produced a high-profile anime.

even worse it's aoi's grating voice
out of her voices they had to choose that one?

Yuzuru was the best part of Koe no Katachi so I'm not worried

>Ryutaro
This dude ruined Kino, he injected his obtuse Lain bullshit into the poor stories every chance he got.
>the land of books epsiode

And the author requested her to perform
Also youtube.com/watch?v=Y6NpLKhUDnQ

She sounds so fucking awful. Why is she making Kino sound so cutesy and shit?
Also why does Hermes sound like a bishounen?

I don't know. Probably because nothing is eternal in the world

>It's a reboot
Dropped

Was it really necessary?

The character designs were atrocious, the backgrounds, animation and acting were ordinary at best.
It was saved by a decent story and a good director, but the production values were subpar.

You need to kill yourself, this isn't even out yet and you're already showing how much of a moron you are. I personally don't mind a new fresh take on Kino after all these years, for what I care you can go fuck off and rewatch the original till your head explodes.

To be honest, I greatly enjoyed Persona 3's fourth movie. I thought it's best possible interpretation of last part of the game. The liberties it took with the story were just right at every turn.

Aoi Yuuki is a pretty talented VA with a great range, but goddamn does that voice she chose to do for Kino not fit. Nobody would've ever believed that this was a boy.

I loved that arc.

>decent story
This is bait. You know Kino is episodic, right?

There is literally nothing wrong with lewding the Kino.

>fresh take on Kino
This is a bastardization of Kino.

Kill yourself.

What? Episodic doesn't mean there isn't a story.
