I don't really know the backstory since I don't read light novels, but I believe one issue connected to her character is that the bullying gets worse after 8man's confession. Which means somebody must've talked about it.

Now that talking about rejecting a confession of the social outcast of the class would bring about even more bullying for that guy, well...

So there is reason to dislike her, if what I know about the story is true.

Also the hate for her and not necessarily 8man comes from the concept of being naive. 8man was when he confessed and he really didn't mean any harm, not that you could cause harm from a confession done with respect.
