Haruhi

Have you paid tribute to your ultimate goddess yet?

Here's my tribute to her

Yes

...

...

Haruhi is a massive bitch. Still, I'm glad people like her, because it's a clear way to determine if someone should be avoided and chastised.

>I didn't watch the show and am retarded

>159966066
>Having absolute shit taste and being an overall waste of space.
>Mentioned the show but not the movie.
You don't deserve a (you). Please do humanity a favour and throw yourself in a volcano.

Yes, this morning

...

...

I don't know, but I consider her as one of the most beautiful anime girls.

Why do you speak with such blasphemy?

Is Haruhi still relevant?

>11 year old show
>relevant
What do you think?

I bow to no gods, much less such a lame one like Haruhi.
It is, one way or another. It was an industry-defining anime and is considered by many one of the most influential anime in the last 20 years (i.e. shaped anime forward regarding visuals, stereotypes, tropes, character development, etc.).

Haruhi has been replaced by Steins;Gate and Monogatari. Haruhi is way too old for new watchers.

Replaced? It's still a cornerstone of modern anime, much to people's chagrin (including mine), but I wouldn't compare it to S;G or Monogatari (despite I like both way better). S;G was more of a flawless product that was outside of anime's flow, while Monogatari is the exact opposite, being an amalgamation of everything in anime. Monogatari in itself as an anime has no genre: It's comedy, drama, romance, action, mystery, suspense, shoujo, shonen, seinen, jousei. It's an outcome.

I'd say that Madoka was and is more influencial to anime right now, also to my chagrin. Monogatari outside of Japan will always be niche (and a casual filter) while S;G will always "feel" like an outsider.

Haruhi has very little to do with anime now. The standard slice of life setting similar to hyouka is more or less gone and replaced by things akin to Azumanga, Lucky Star, and most importantly K-On. K-On started one of the biggest trends and now we see that every season has at least a few moeblob slice of life with nothing else.

Monogatari and Haruhi are similar in that neither specifically fits into one genre (Haruhi mainlines slice of life but there's still a lot of mystery, drama, romance elements, action, comedy, etc) but Monogatari is significantly more popular and thus more important. After 2014~ or so Haruhi more or less dropped off the map and became a non factor in the fandom. It's no longer considered a "mainstay" series and very few recommend it.

Steins;Gate and monogatari sit in this spot instead, being on more or lesss every recommendation list and being considered " isn't-watches" in the same vein that Haruhi was years ago.

Madoka is influential in making darker works more popular but hasn't been as massive, and while it sold very well it's not exactly a mainstay. However, it has more recommendation merit than Haruhi does due to it being easily marketable as a dark action series.

Is there anything like S;G or Monogatari though? There's a lot of stuff like Madoka, sadly. I don't watch all of the seasonal anime, so can't really know for sure.

that's not a goddess. that's a comatose child hallucinating about being relevant after being deeply traumatized by discovering she isn't the center of the universe. and she's a miserable cunt either way.

I took a nasty shit this morning, so yes.
