I don't know why you bait people with a post about this plebian book every day.

I binge-read it over a weekend, followed by a binge-reading of Hunter.

Main character is just the author as a chad and the book is his fantasy about a circumstance where he would have been capable of affecting real change. First half is good but the power levels get inflated really quickly, so to speak. It goes from realistic terrorism to inexplicably stealing dozens of nukes. It's basically porn for LARPers.

I listened to the version narrated by Pierce on YouTube. Even though thus was written in 1991, the society feels very real and modern. Sure they are missing cell phones and the internet, but beyond that the society feels familiar.

What knotted my stomach here is how often collateral damage and civilian casualties occurred among whites. The Turner Diaries really drive home the cost of a racial civil war in the United States. The book proposes a horrible pragmatic question. Is it better to kill your own kind in a last ditch effort to build an ethnostate, or do you sit idly by while the jews and non-whites consume your civilization?

Listen to the audiobook read by the author himself instead.

It was alright. It's written as a series of diary entries, which to me is the laziest way to write fiction. The protagonist is a woman, so I naturally have no way of relating to her. It seemed like the writer was more trying to blow off steam than actually writing a realistic novel. There's a scene where all the whites are slowly pushing a great exodus of blacks and latinos across the mexican border. That would be cool in a fantasy novel, but not when you're trying to write a work of fiction based on real or probably events.

However, the book was the first to author the 'day of the rope' meme and I feel bad about disparaging it.

My bad user. You're correct. When I first started reading it I thought the protagonist was a woman up to around chapter 3 and it just stuck with me.

It flows much better as an audiobook. I think part of the reason I didn't like the second half is that I actually read it because I broke my smartphone and never got a new one so I couldn't listen in the car.

The story is a good fiction. Pierce should be listed to for his talks however. Keep in mind that when he was recording them it was twenty years ago. His observation can't be ignored. Ahead of his time.

It's interesting, but the latter half devolves into laughably bad self-insert fiction. Pic related is a better outline of the creation of a white ethnostate.

Book is awesome and a great pleasure to read, the only book I can think of in our lifetimes, where we are the good goys. Praise KEK.
