Just finished the movie. Did they really have to reuse the school closing plot again? I mean it was tolerable for the first season but I don't like how having it means Miho will inevitably end up taking center stage yet again and will most definitely win because the plot demands it. There was a whole bunch of new guys the series introduced, it's far more interesting to see them duking it out than to see fucking Miyafujesus from strike witches all over again. Hell they were talking near the end about how they hoped they'd be able to battle without any deeper meaning in the future, I fucking hope that's what season 2 will be, just everyone so far having tank battles without the plot spelling out the winner before the end.

It is nice that we're getting post WWII tanks though. Would definitely like to see more, like this lovable fuckup.

The series would be so much better if it just showed all the matches in a season from different schools' perspectives. It would make the battles more exciting because you never know who's gonna win, it would showcase the different doctrines of the schools and it would give the side characters more air time. It's a shame to see all those amazing teams appear only to get fucked by the main girls and their plot protection. The anzio special was great and I hope we get more of that in the future.

Simply buy some cheap models for training first. Some people are better painters than other, but definately everyone improves somewhat with some training.

An idea would be to use metal figures for training, (though they usually arent't that cheap) - if you really fuck up the paint job, you can clean them and start again, which is very difficult with a plastic or resin model.

Is there a particular company that sells good metal figures? Most of the ones that I've seen have mostly plastic/resin stuff.

Depends on what you want.
Metal anime figures are almost nonexistant, but i think fantasy or historical ones will also be good for training purposes.
Also, it depends which size you want to try. My biggest metal ones were a succubus from Reaper and a historical knight from a company called Globe, both in 75mm scale.
