Previous Brazilian media is reporting that the brazilian army has info that Maduro might be planning to invade the Essequibo region of Guyana, literally half the country, as a way to raise support for his failing regime. Guyana is part of the Commonwealth so maybe bongs will defend them, and it's also increasingly a strategic partner to Brazil (and we allegedly vowed to "retaliate" if Maduro invaded it), which plans to use it to export goods from it's northern states. Venezuela and Guyana have a long history of disputing the region, but it was recognized as Guyanan when both countries agreed to let an international court arbitrate their dispute.
Source: >The Brazilian Armed Forces have the information that Venezuela plans to take by force the Essequibo region that belongs to Guyana. The UN pratically washed its hands of the territorial dispute.
>The trip of Raul Jungmann [Brazil's defense minister] to Guiana, as well as Suriname, is a message that Brazil will not tolerate Maduro's aggression against any neighbor country.
Translation: >Georgetown 09/02/2018 - In an official mission to the northern region of South America, minister of defense, Raul Jungmann, accompanied by the ministers of justice, Torquato Jardim, and of the Cabinet of Institutional Security, Sérgio Etchegoyen, established cooperation agreements with Guyana to combat transnational crimes.
>The commitments cover partnerships in the fighting against the crimes of drug, arms and people trafficking, smuggling and embezzlement
>This meeting is the continuity of a series of bilateral meetings realized with every country in South America, except Venezuela, whose defense minsiter didn't answer to an agreement made over two months ago by his brazilian counterpart.
>In the opportunity subjects like cybernetic crimes, terrorism, military training, information exchange, joing action on the borders and partnerships in the vigilance and monitoring systems Sisfron and Sivam were discussed >Asked about the contention between Venezuela and Guyana, on the Essequibo question, object of dispute between the two countries, minister Raul Jungmann said:
>"The Essequibo dispute concerns Venezuela and Guyana, but Brazil, that has one of the largest borders on the world, always built it's limits by diplomatic means, or recurring to arbitration, leaves it's history as a legacy that the peaceful solution for border disputes is fundamental for the region's stability."
>Jungmann added: "It can't be admitted, therefore, for the equilibrium of the region, any way out by force. Brazil does not accept this possibility and this is valid not only for this dispute, but for any other, because this is a constitutional principle of our Country", said the minister.
hnnng. There was one poo girl that was spammed daily on pol, never seem her again tho
Gabriel Lee
Wait so who is invading who? Or is this just some potential for gorilla skirmishes?
Luis Russell
Venezuela invading Guyana to conquer the territory in pic related, which they dispute with them for more than 100 years.
Britain, Brazil and Colombia to defend Guyana
Connor Russell
Isn't the European Space Agency and their launching platforms located their because it's French sovereign terrain? This might be fun!
Isaac Gray
no, that's in French Guiana, this one is just Guyana, former British Guyana
Nolan Phillips
Oh shit how did I miss that.
Sebastian Johnson
the guianas are barely relevant and not even their neighbors know anything about them
Angel Long
>one shithole invade another Neither have any air-force to speak of and the MSM probably won't even cover a boring jungle-war it if it happens
Noah Hill
Hopefully the US or China takes over, please destroy Colombia while you're at it. The divorce and kidnapping rates have been growing fast ever since these fuckers have started migrating here, wholesome households and culture being ruined by whores who want a quick profit.
Kevin Nguyen
You think the chinks won't be coming for you next if they take over territory right on your doorstep?
Blake Hernandez
>Neither have any air-force to speak of Literally fake
Zachary Evans
We're always under someone's rule, the chinks already here are decent enough and even learn the language.
Landon Collins
No it's not the same Guyana Anyway the Kourou Space Center is defended by an entire regiment of the french foreign legion, Venezuela would be buttstomped
They're invading the other Guyana
Jeremiah Foster
Why Colombia?
Robert Sanders
How many former British colonies will join Britain in securing Guyana's independence? The US would be on your side, we don't like Commies and Venezuela already left a pact between all American countries that would protect them. They're fucked.
Brody Howard
Maduro is desperate, there's no way this ends well for them. Venezuela is fucked due to dumb socialist bullshit and, what a surprise, instead of admitting they are wrong, they go on the offensive and ruin more lives. A fucking disgusting ideology, I'd expect nothing less.
Alexander Davis
None I guess. They didn't do shit to help the Falklands
Kayden Parker
Falklands is British territory, a little bit different to being an independent, sovereign nation that's also a member of the commonwealth.
Logan Green
it wont happen
Mason Powell
Socialism happened Socialism failing hard happened
he has no choice
Christopher Martin
Would you rather fight commies in the jungle or more Muslims in the desert?
Christopher James
What happened wasn’t even socialism. Most of the state is privatized and less than 30 of socialism happened. Not to mention US sanctions made the country worse.
Socialism isn’t at fault for Venezuela.
Lincoln Taylor
They won't.
Let's face it, nothing interesting ever happens.
Charles James
One of my chaps is Guyananan (he was born here in USA, one parent from Guyana). Cheeking cunt if I ever saw one.
Connor Moore
It was socialism, it is socialism, wherever socialism goes it causes death, mayhem, destruction, and despair.
Maybe I would consider taking this 'not real socialism' argument even remotely seriously if it weren't for the fact that socialists across the world were all too ready to praise Venezuela when things were going well, despite the fact that things were only going well due to the vast oil reserves in Venezuela.
And the oil reserves are what makes the whole situation sadder/funnier (depending on your perspective). It seems no amount of oil can save you from the disastrous ideology that is socialism.
Isaiah Gutierrez
This. They could make Saudi Arabia run out of sand
Joshua Ward
Fuck off commie.
Austin Myers
>See famine in your country >Start a war >Wait for world to intervene >Unconditionally surrender hoping to be annexed
James Rivera
Mostrar venezuelans I know unironically want this
Noah Martinez
>It was socialism, it is socialism, NOT REAL SOCIALISM SHITLORD
Is Venezuela commie? Do you think Guyana would take Americans to fighting commies?
Grayson Lopez
>Venezuela invades Guyana >An aggression against an OAS member >Murrica goes for it >An aggression against a Commonwealth >UK goes for it >An aggression against an UN member >France will give logistic support in French Guyana (maybe deploying French Legion), Brazil will give logistic support in Amazon, Colombia will give logistic support in Western border.
Nathaniel Cox
Maduro could do it yet he is a parasite. And as a parasite, he knows this would end with him either dead or back to drive buses. And parasites love to sit in fancy chairs. And buses have no fancy chairs. I wish, but i won´t happen.
Logan Rogers
Oh man I wish.
Destroying Venezuela would have been fun.
Luke Morales
Love how the (((anglo))) copy/pasted the "An empire on which the sun never sets" phrase from Philip II of Spain.
Austin Price
Venezuela has an army?
Eli Fisher
Will there be a draft?
Hudson Long
>American education Yes they do idiot why do you think they want Guyana. A country without an army would never annex Guyana.
Noah Walker
Hopefully something happens, but all I could do when I saw this was giggle
Juan Sullivan
trust me British history is essentially "slow to innovate, quick to imitate". we just did would other countries did but better.
the better branch they have is the airforce, if their planes can still fly that is
Cameron Sanders
Shit. How would you guys handle that? Has the border been closed yet ?
Connor Walker
So are the bongs about to step in and overthrow maduro perhaps?
Logan Campbell
We're getting a bunch of refugees aswell, pretty sure Roraima is getting swarmed. Not sure if it's as bad as other countries around Venezuela.
James Lewis
Phillip II was literally the Emperor of the World
Carson Hughes
are they strong enough? 10% of boa vista is venezuelan already, and they have no energy (it came from venezuela) or money and supplies (they're naturally poor). If it keeps going at this rate, half of RR will be venezuelan by 2019
Nolan Thomas
A pair of Astute and Virginia class subs would wreck the entire South America continent.
I always expected Venezuela to pull a Falklands on the Dutch islands just off their coast, to be honest.
Jaxson Ramirez
To be honest Venezuela is a joke in the brazilian army. IIf you question a officer about this they would say "We can win the war and be back in time for lunch" My family is on the brazilian navy and I know that we have enough ground-to-ground missiles to destroy Venezuela in less than a hour.
Leo Lee
>no periscope kek rip
Joshua Murphy
Lots of propaganda in the US about Venezuela right now. Are we looking for another use for the war machine? It fits the pattern... This is a US push for regime change. Another CIA revolution: >And even the State Department, after Mr. Kerry’s meeting with Mr. Maduro, issued a statement indicating that the men’s encounter in Cartagena was not a photo op but rather Mr. Kerry’s chance to express “our concern about the economic and political challenges that have affected millions of Venezuelans.” nytimes.com/2016/09/28/world/americas/venezuela-refuses-us-aid.html
USAID supports commies (the UN) >USAID programs reflect the principles enshrined in the United Nations Convention on Human Rights and Inter-American Democratic Charter >USAID is building the capacity the National Assembly to be a viable democratic institution that represents all Venezuelans. usaid.gov/venezuela
USAID is an apparatus for regime change and political blackmail. >The U.S. calls these projects aiding in “transition”, whereas in reality it is nothing but meddling in the internal affairs of sovereign nations. They work with many different NGOs and private companies, all under the guise of providing aid to developing nations. telesurtv.net/english/analysis/USAIDin-Latin-America-More-Than-Just-Aid-20141027-0055.html

So is there actually a chance of war or is this just all speculation?
Ryan Morgan
>(((They))) are starting Syria 2: Sudaca Bogagloo >Syria 2
Nigger, that's nothing but Malvinas 2.
Hudson Thompson
They're going to portray Maduro like Assad my dude.
Luke Rodriguez
The defense minister of Brazil is in Guyana with another general who controls our intelligence agency and the minister of Justice, plus even big media is reporting that theyre there because there apparently are fears of an invasion Wouldn't be the first time a South American caudillo pulls shit like this
Caleb Barnes
fuck off, never
Ian Morris
I wonder how Maduro-fan Corbyn will react.
Jonathan Mitchell
Holy shit.
Joshua Turner
= China has no Venezuelan oil. BTFOd.
Jaxson Brooks
Hmm, when was the last time an incompetent dictator of an oil-rich country decided to bully a neigbour state so he can conceal his fuck-ups with a shiny PR victory.
Saddam I am looking at your hanged corpse !!!
Ayden Green
Saudis said the same about Yemen you already broke sun tsus art of war by underestimating
Josiah Morgan
Missed the chance in my firt post to drop the "Gulf War 3: Its a good day to Gulf hard" *the sequel no one wanted* joke!
Samuel Nelson
Except the Sun did set on the Spanish Empire, unlike the British Empire.
Ethan Rodriguez
He'll defend good old chap Maduro and suggest that UK give Guyana to him because muh British imperialism
Luke Harris

Daniel Diaz
Would be fitting if Maduro was hanged tbqh
Charles Long

Anyway, Stay outta my Guyana senator. Jim'll gun ya.
Dominic Ross
>American education Guyanese people are indians
Gavin Sullivan
I have no doubt you'd come out on top but many a young man has died in a war the supposed to be "over by Christmas" (or some other phrase implying a short war)
Grayson Rodriguez
Maybe we should ask /k/ to do a fanfic on how the war will unfold. We can make bets on how many hours it will take for the north Pedros to surrender!
Anglo-American beachead on carpet/precision bombed coastal areas will not be a hard thing to achieve. North Pedro army lacks the hardware to even stand a chance to assault the american marines even in their current state. Caracas is somehow easily defendable because of a fucking mountain, but with enough bombing and cladenstine CIA/SFOD/ST6 ops the venezuelan people will do the dirty work for Langley.
Sounds easy enough on paper and the faggots in the Pentagon know it too. The question is how to provoke Maduro to actually invade the poor country so they can go ham on them with a reason, so less international fallout for (((them))).
Logan Young
Ask them, but preferably without American participation. I'd like to see how the Brits would fare on their own
Jaxson Jones
Caracas has a pretty urbanized landscape. Maduro went full nork in order to make it look good in front of the world. Combat in this would be fucking nightmare ... call Boris and the indiscriminate bombing tactics of Chechnya 1996 !
Brody Collins
They don't need to conquer the entire city, it's not like the population will fight against invaders, they'll roll a welcome mat. Only problem are the slums
Jace Kelly
>essiquibo region. Ummm, that's pretty much 2/3 of the whole country.
Jace Sanders
Venecos até greedy
Matthew Ramirez
It would be inconvenient desu.
William Anderson
If they need to count on the army to do the job ... better let the brazilians handle it. Vidrelated.
The Brits can play support role at best with commandos and maybe some marines (if that branch is still relevant). Their airforce is outdated too and cant do too much, escpecially overseas without strategic bombers, except if they reinstate the aestetic AF V-bombers, but even then they will be lacking the precision guided munitions and the whole C4I systems the americans basically invented and support as of now with the whole comms and recon satelites and shit. My conclusion, is that the Brits are a secondary power!
Yep, thats what I meant in the post above with the cladenstine ops.
