A few years ago a really bad cough for around two weeks. Was sick for a while. I coughed and coughed so much something happened to the connection of my lungs to the inside of my chest. Air bubbles formed.
My left lung fucking collapsed in the middle of class. The top corner just inverted. I had to go to the hospital and pay a stiff ambulance bill. Took two weeks to recover and I was bedridden for a week. Didn’t take a single full breath for a month.
Get some fucking DayQuil/NyQuil, cough syrup and cough drops if you end up getting it, Sup Forums. Prevention is best but once you have it you need to take care of your body. Worth the money.

With exception to the runny or stuffed up nose I get every 2 or 3 winters, I haven't been sick with cold or flu in roughly 14 years. I got what ever was going around this year and 2 weeks later am still coughing up globs of green mucous.

Had it for a week+ over Christmas then it turned bacterial on my lungs. Just as it cleared up my lower back "went out". Wasn't the coughing, really careful about that. Only now has my lower spine stabilised so I can walk normally. Pretty good really. When it hits my spine it can be 6 months of hobbling.
