Code Geyass

>OH MY INDESTRUCTIBLE GOLDEN CENTAUR KNIGHTMARE
>OH MY MULTIVERSE OF POSSIBILITIES
>OH MY GEASS THAT CAME FROM A PAINTING

Will R3 be as bad as this steaming pile of shit?

The Geass fandom is the Emperor's New Clothes of anime fandom. How in God's name can you say anything in Akito is worse than R2, how is any of that shit any more ridiculous than the shit that was covered in the TV series?

>How in God's name can you say anything in Akito is worse than R2, how is any of that shit any more ridiculous than the shit that was covered in the TV series?

Try again.

There are so many things wrong with this post.

1. It's not indestructible, plus a golden centaur makes more sense than half the designs in R2.

2. There's nothing inherently bad about a multiverse. This concept was already introduced by Nightmare of Nunnally.

3. No, the Geass doesn't come from a painting. That's not how paintings work. Are you even paying attention?

Finally, this has nothing to do with R3. That'll be its own thing, whether the end result is better or worse.

I'd tend to agree with you, but let's not generalize. There are some reasonable people even in this fandom.

So Akito can't have a hopeful ending, giving refuge to a bunch of people who don't feel right living in a society that discriminates them, because you want endless tragedy and sorrow for everyone? Oh, okay.

>>OH MY GEASS THAT CAME FROM A PAINTING
How does that even work?

...

This is ridiculous in terms of implausibility, but not even a bad thing. It was a cool trick.

It doesn't work that way. The Geass didn't come from a painting.

Also not a bad thing.

>No, the Geass doesn't come from a painting. That's not how paintings work. Are you even paying attention?

Fine it was a flying skull that came out of nowhere.

...

Edgy flying skull

Code Geass was never good

No its just really fucking stupid.
No its just really fucking stupid.

They are in the middle of a flashback inside someone's mind, not in the physical world. The skull is there as a symbol. He killed his dad and got the stuff. I'll give you that it is still edgy though.

You sound like a very tired and frustrated man. Please rest.

A completely different team will work on r3 than akito

I'm not saying it's worse than R2 (it isn't), but I don't have a problem with over-the-top elements in an over-the-top world where somehow Pizza Hut still exists.

>You sound like a very tired and frustrated man
Nah I'm just not a hypocrite like you

I'm not the guy who made this thread.

The joys of joint-media advertising.

I don't hate Akito because of the over the top nature. I hate Akito because everything else was boring

How is the surviving cast becoming gympsys more ridiculous and over the top than Lelouch geassing a planet?

Well, that's a valid opinion. But I didn't find Akito boring. I like world-building and not every spin-off needs to be exactly like the original in every way (tone, style, story, etc). Not even Gundam does that.

Akito was just a backburner hobby project for Sunrise, some guys really wanted to make spidermechs but Sunrise execs wouldn't let them put them in anywhere.

I don't think it is. If anything, unlike OP, I realized that the third episode was basically a giant sign saying "hmm, maybe these guys will prefer to live among these gypsies after all"

hmm

R2 was already utter garbage, don't act like it had any bars to live up to.

Fine, I will accept that. But I'm not buying into this shitty pseudo-science, that's not even trying, that's just bad writing, it's way worse than R2. The story was a complete fucking filler arc with not point to it. It had it all, mechas, pointless ghost people, multiverses, sudden changes of hearts, ass-pulls, deux machina, muh-observing-changes-reality; the main characters were literally Sasuke and Itachi. Only the baddies died, the world was saved and we happy gypsies now. R2 had at least a satisfying conclusion.

Hey akitofriend. Is Akito the Exiled not canon or set in the same world? What did the other fellow mean by multiverse.
A world without Pizza Hut is not a world worth living in.

Man, I thought R1+R2 where 10/10 and Akito was at least 8/10. I find Code Geass a masterpiece despite it's flaws. Do I have irredeemable shit taste?

Wait, they actually became gypsies permanently? I always thought they were just visiting them.

The 3 "siblings" do.

Most everything about Akito made sense and was good until geass got involved. Then it got really strange, obtuse and complicated. Before then we got to see really awesome battles between Alexanders and the Holy Knights of Saint Micheal.

Those who are dressed like gypsies joined them. Those who aren't are probably just visiting.

>Most everything about Akito made sense and was good until geass got involved. Then it got really strange, obtuse and complicated.
Just like R2

Even the Geass stuff from Akito does make sense, but mainly if you rewatch the episodes again and look into external sources to clear up any doubts.

Akito was a steaming pile of ridiculous shit.

Dude, geass was a part of the fucking story within the first half hour of akito.
Do you mean that confusing mess of cg limbs that you call a battle in the first ova?

No because R2 never make sense even without the Geass elements taking over

I think this had a satisfying conclusion too, at least for the characters themselves. As for the science...yeah, it's out there, but I don't think it's based on filler. They hinted at some of these things in the earlier episodes. Even the "observing-changes-reality" part is based on an interpretation of quantum physics after all. I would give you a point about the change of heart, and the ghosts were more corny than truly pointless, but I don't mind having a literal god-like entity in existence since that's already known in this world. I even prefer that to a silent Jupiter. Sasuke and Itachi are neither the first nor the last characters in anime with a similar situation.

The battles were pretty great in Akito. I didn't find any of them to be confusing. The only confusing stuff about Akito happened in the last ep with the Geass

Geass R2 made sense. It is still quite silly at times even if you understand the situation.

>But I'm not buying into this shitty pseudo-science, that's not even trying, that's just bad writing, it's way worse than R2.
Oh wait you're serious
>Geass R2 made sense
It didn't. R2 was just a fucking mess from beginning to end.

>>Geass R2 made sense
>It didn't. R2 was just a fucking mess

Mess =/= Not making sense.

Tell me one part of R2 you didn't understand.

His undying loyalty earned him his happy end. And he prob knows that his liege lord Lelouch survived.

>Mess =/= Not making sense.

Let me feed you an example. Your room is a mess, because it's disorganized. But you can still know where the important stuff is and can find things among that mess with a little effort.

Everytime I see a Code Geass thread my heart skips a beat in anticipation for a new detailed PV.

Stop messing with me, fuck.
