It's up to you Julia. Does he live...or...does he die?

Omae wa mo shindeiru

>tries to NTR his best friend and steals his girl
>she refuses every advance and chooses to kill herself than to be with him any longer
>puts her on such a high pedestal that he won't even think about forcing her to do anything he wanted to
>spends his time caressing and talking to his RealDoll version of her

Shin was a huge loser when you think about it. He got reverse NTRd.

Yuria is one of the most blatant Mary Sues on, well, anything ever.

Is there anyone whose life wasn't ruined by meeting her?

Might as well be a villain for all the suffering she caused.

I'm pretty sure Rei never met her, but he was fated to die anyway because of his star.

>Yuda declaring that Rei was the strongest and most beautiful fighter of the two before dying
One of my favorite parts in the manga, no idea why.

i remember i dropped this becuase i found the little girl annoying, should i pick it back up? I think i stopped somewhere after the guy who was pretending to be his brother.

Did you read the Rei Gaiden series?

They added some more material to the rivalry.

im still trying to finish the series off my backlog, now while I do like the show, the formula has me falling asleep sometimes im still around episode 12 or something.

No I haven't.
I think I'll give it a try.

Yes

The anime is still on my backlog, but I finished the manga and most of the gaidens.

is it because its manga so the MOTW villains that is over fast? cause honestly thats the only problem im having, I didnt bother with the manga cause I didnt expect any good scans.

Yes, and the main series scans stay about the same quality.

ok that's great

>only stole her in the first place because he was convinced that Ken couldn't protect her
The HnK men are too pure.
Keep with it. Let me tell you right now, there's a huge problem with the anime, in that the completely front-loaded all the filler. I dropped it a long time ago, only to come back and realize my mistake. In the manga the confrontation between Shin and Ken happens almost right away. In the anime it takes 20 something episodes to get there. But that episode is really damn good. The haunting quiet as Ken walks up the steps, Shin's last words, the twist about Yuria. But even if you can't stand the filler it's not terrible to just skip it in this case.

And it keeps going like that, introducing new martial artist characters and an actual story arc, not just "get here and save Yuria". Rei is a great partner for Ken.

>But even if you can't stand the filler it's not terrible to just skip it in this case.
so I can skip it to just episode 20? so its kinda like hitman reborn where it took 20 episode for the story to actually start? ok cool.

now on a similar note, what about the movie? I looked at some random scenes I came across on youtube and they were so much better looking but I fel like I should watch the original series cause they might have changed a couple of things like that cgi saint seiya movie did.

Keep going. It gets better.

I will I just needed to take a break but can you answer the second paragraph?

Movie is pretty much the 1st part of the series condensed with many characters cut out.

Might be one of the only anime's I prefers the dub over the sub.

Also as others have said......the series gets much better. But then takes a shit again once it starts HnK2

Eh yeah, 20/21/22 are the important final episodes to the Shin arc. Should be fine to skip to there.

Guess I'll watch it once I'm done with the main series chase the movie looks great it honestly looked similar to the Jojo oval with Johnathan on the boat. The art is so precious.
Great, can't wait to get started.
On a similar note you guys notice the similarities between Mario and ken? When I really thought about it, it made me laugh.

Roses are red
Violets are blue
Omae wa mo shindeiru

I can't believe Dio is based on him.

I'm not seeing it.

something tells me even the war was fought for her.
