Knight's & Magic

>Meca anime in a fantasy world
>Isekai (or however you spell it)
>MC is a cute shota
>MC has two girls lusting after his dick
Will it be AOTS?

...

isekai has always been banned from getting aots

Don't forget
>MC is basically a fucking god at everything

Utter pandering, wish-fulfillment shit.

he only became a god through hard work and dedication.

Even Shield Hero?

Anyways, Princess leans towards the other guy.

He's fucking 12 and Gary Stue'd everything. He was never tought anything and he didn't even have special recourses to gain that knowledge. It's plain retarded.

I mean if you enjoy the series fine, go watch it and have a good time but don't defend it like it isn't shit writing.

never read it but I read enough shitposts about it to confirm yes, it has no chance to be

>He's fucking 12
With the mind of a 30+ programmer inside him who still had to read up on everything.
>He was never tought anything and he didn't even have special recourses to gain that knowledge
Yes he did, we saw in the beginning that he read a lot of books and it's clear that his family are very high up in the noble chain so they have accesses to good shit.

>Gary Stu

Please do not start.

>easily does something that has literally never been attempted before
>defeats an opponent strong enough to wipe the military in his very first real battle
>just completely revolutionizes the entire production/concept of the military on his own
>generally god tier at everything

It's an overused shit term used to bait but in this case it's true. Just like there are legitimately "edgy" series.

If he was a Gary stu then the king wouldn't try to kill him
>wipe the military in his very first real battle
Naa just a few rookies and unprepared forces and even then he got help from the military.

It's like the smartphone isekai but just a tad bit better. Or maybe that's exactly what makes it worse. We'll see.

You want flashbacks that shows how he learnt all the programming that's conveniently the same as how magic in that world works?
Or how he learnt COMMON SENSE and used it to make breakthroughs that no one else thought of before?

Or is that it, the fact that the world is conveniently built around him and he doesn't have to learn anything, thanks to the power of reincarnation.

What? Gary Stu has nothing to do with the reaction of others. The king said that because just hearing about what he did made him realise his power is too great, basically confirming what I said.

>Naa just a few rookies
They literally said that beast could wipe all of the knights and mobilised everybody and everything under the control of whatever rank that guy was. The entire military rushed to attack that thing while the rookies evacuated and the elite team got their asses beat.

>Or is that it, the fact that the world is conveniently built around him and he doesn't have to learn anything, thanks to the power of reincarnation.
Pretty text book definition of "Gary Stu"

But he did learn how magic and the robots work.
>Gary Stu has nothing to do with the reaction of others
Yes it does, just like Mary Sue does. Reaction of others is a huge part of what makes someone a Sue
>They literally said that beast could wipe all of the knights and mobilised everybody and everything under the control of whatever rank that guy was
Which was not the entire army.

Though he's not a complete twat like most mech MCs.

No because of everything you just said

>He was never tought anything and he didn't even have special recourses to gain that knowledge.

Dude the first episode is literally him being tought the knowledge in mechs. I mean he's god-tier but he did work for everything.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised that Sup Forums is shitposting while /m/ has intelligent discussion.

Especially Shield Hero.

>He was never tought anything and he didn't even have special recourses to gain that knowledge. It's plain retarded.
All of that was in the original novel, in anime they just skipped that shit because it's boring. And they did a good thing, who fucking cares anyway. You would shit on it regardless, right?

...

>Fate Apocrypha
>Knight's Magic
>Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushite e
Sleeper hit, possibly.

Teach a man to fish, he's fed for life. Give him a fish, he's fed for day. Teach a man to master the fundamentals of the universe, he's immortal god.

Not sure if a shield hero AOTS status is a good or a bad thing to be honest.

It won't be AOTS, but it will be really good.

Hoping that this will stimulate to produce more fantasy mecha. And by that one day culminating in a SRW game with half of the roster being fantasy mecha like Rayearth, Escaflowne, Ramune, Dumbine and Masou Kishin. Maybe even Knights and Magic will be in there and Eru will squee if he sees Amuro Rei.

Sup Forums goes into autistic rage whenever Isekai is brought up.

In the /m/ thread one guy went into an autistic rage about how all isekais are the same and a recent fad, and then everyone else shut him down pointing out how it's a setting and not a genre and has existed for decades.

>Protagonist comes along in a world where the only digging implement is a spoon
>Everyone just tries to be better at digging with spoons because it's what works and it's the only thing they know and those delivering their spoons are an underclass entirely concerned with producing stronger spoons with new magical enchantments that make them better at digging to meet demands
>Protagonist has a massive shovel fetish and served in WW1 in his past life
Cue digging Isekai.

This show is garbage, it isn't AOTS.

>borderline sociopath MC who doesn't give a fuck even when his comrades are annihilated by the Behemoth
>terrible writing that relies on making everyone around MC stupid and incompetent to make him smart and successful
>actually interesting mechs replaced by OP flipping through the air like a ballerina
>characters so bland and uninspired that not a single one is remotely memorable

The only half decent thing so far has been the Behemoth destroying shit.

>>borderline sociopath MC who doesn't give a fuck even when his comrades are annihilated by the Behemoth
This is covered in the books. Because he was reincarnated once he knows for a fact what happens after people die, so he doesn't give any shits about death or killing. He straight up kills people and goes "I wish you a good next life".

>terrible writing that relies on making everyone around MC stupid and incompetent to make him smart and successful

Doesn't happen.

>>characters so bland and uninspired that not a single one is remotely memorable

Bad adaptation.

>This is covered in the books

Doesn't matter since this is about the anime.

>Doesn't happen.
>people praise MC for the genius idea of making a rope

>Bad adaptation.

So you agree the show is shit then?

actually the professional researchers makes his designs actually controllable

>Doesn't matter since this is about the anime.

Yes, cover your ears, cover your ears.

He does have a point. The anime is the anime and the LN is the LN and never the twain shall meet. The anime is responsible for establishing its own characters and setting.

MC may be a bit op but he is such a cutie-pie I forgive him.

He has a cute gf

Smarthpone isekai is the perfect mary sue.
>MC accepts his death easily
>MC isn't a pervert fuck
>MC is helpful and kind with all characters

Only cons I see is that is a harem anime.

How does the LN have jack shit with this being a bad show? The LN could be 10/10 but that doesn't make this show any less shitty

I wonder if K&M has any chance of being in a SRW game.

If it is, the Mc will get very fanboyish

Yep

shieldbro is re:zero tier. it will be popular and shitposted but nothing amazing.

Only if there is a game in setting similar to Neo again.

First episode says he's a genius programmer and it just so happens that programming skills, which he retained entirely along with all his previous life memories, is an advanced method for both casting magic and piloting mechs. This shit is arguably even worse than Mushoku Tensei, instead of being a failure who gets a complete reroll on life and magically pulls the will to be successful out of his ass, he's an already successful fag who gets a reroll on life and cheats on top of it.

I mean it's still watchable if you like mech porn I guess, but as far as Isekai goes it's incredibly vapid.

I have to say that the ED would have great if it was a duet with a deep male voice. It seems to just fit the song perfectly.

Whatttt? It got an anime?

I was reading the LN about a year ago, even donated to the translator.

This show is complete garbage.

He's too short to admire so probably not.

This show is great. Best show in the season.
I wish Sup Forums would finally grow past their tsundere for isekai phase and just admit they love isekai once and for all.

>being a failure who gets a complete reroll on life and magically pulls the will to be successful out of his ass, he's an already successful fag who gets a reroll on life and cheats on top of it.
It makes more sense to me that someone who was succesful in his previous life would be succesful in his new isekai life rather than someoene who was the bottom of the barrel trash being succesful in a new life.

> Mecha
> Harem
> Isekai
> Mc is a trap

Yea..totally AOTS user

you know what's fun about these isekai threads?
People always complain regardless of what's presented.

>loser neet transported to another world
"Why is it always a loser, this is complete wish fulfillment, if it was real the neet would die immediately"
>accomplished man who is already competent transported to another world which conveniently fits his skillset
"this is bullshit, why does he get to go to another world, he already is successful, this is complete wish fulfillment"

>and cheats on top of it.
he did not get any cheats tho. His twin friends also become super powered thanks to his teaching, so anyone from that isekai world can become as strong as he is as long as they get taught programming.

Depends on the space fight.

>Harem
2 girls is harem now?
how come I didn't see people screaming "haremshit" at gundan IBO when that shota also had two girls lusting for his dick?

it doesn't look like he's consenting to get cuddled by her. shotas are not for molestation.

she's a criminal

He doesn't like warm and soft things

Can either of his twin friends beat him in a fight, our outshine him in battle?

This shota has transcended human lust and knows the machine spirit is the true path to enlightenment.

>students beating the master
probably not
His personal prowess in a fight almost never comes up after the beginning arc tho, it's all about building new mecha. The other potential love interest is also never seen again. The LN is just as obsessed with giant robots as the protagonist.

>The LN is just as obsessed with giant robots as the protagonist.
My /m/ is getting hard.

yeah, that's the thing about this series. All the gripes Sup Forums has with isekai are present, but get ignored to make space for more mecha. The series is fundamentally about the protag building new mecha. Love interests, how strong the protag is, the fact that he looks like a girl, none of that is really relevant outside of the setup.

trap accepted his death. just froze up like a deer in the headlights and died. no attempt at all to get out of the way.
his lack of survival instinct explains why he refuses to breed

>protag falls into a cockpit for the first time and manages to be amazing and beat enemies that other experienced pilots can't

Is this your first mecha series? Even the "manages to reprogram the robots OS in record time" has already been done before.
Or do you think "has psychich powers" is a better justification (aka is a newtype) than "has knowledge from past life"?

No and no amount of samefagging will make it so /m/fag

In all fairness, newtypes in 0079 were foreshadowed well and incorporated into the plot in a logical manner. Not that I have an issue with Eru being a programming whizz in his past life, I think that's a decent justification as well.

What bugs me about the protag is he's completely devoid of faults (no "recklessness" is not a fault if it only ever benefits him). His actions are also extremely predictable (IE jumping to the defense of everyone and becoming a hero when he's in no position to). Two episodes in and he hasn't shown a single bit of conflict or effort either, nor has he made a single mistake be it in regards to his programming experience or not. Someone like Tanya got bullshit that puts most Isekai protagonists to shame, but she still shows limitations and even has major fuckups on a regular basis. I haven't seen anything of the sort out of fuccboi which is a damn shame because badass protagonists are great if they're balanced out with actual character faults.

>Two episodes in
That's where your meem falls down

Changes his bracket style between two methods FUCKING REEEEEEEE

The rule is three episodes. The issues I described are generally addressed by then. This show has been completely unapologetic on that front for 2 out of 3 of those episodes, so forgive me if my expectations aren't high.

>descriptive variable names
>consistent naming conventions
>writing code that doesn't need to be refactored
>writing code only once
if he could actually do this shit in real life, I would want his autograph

it looks like it is a different method for if statements vs functions, which would be fine
