>Audience: Oh, shit! >A: He cut him! >A: He cut him again!!! >Musashi: Hmm. >A: Eeeee! >A: How many times has he been cut!?
Colton Miller
>Narrator: The cutting down of a human... >N: Is a special event. >N: Such things are only ever seen in historical plays.
Oliver Long
>N: Eye-witness of the scene, Numadate Shuuichi (age 22) >Shuuichi: Yeah, I saw it happen. >S: The guy cutting him. >S: I'd never seen that before. >S: I couldn't watch a person get cut again. >S: Well, it's not often that I see katana, anyway. >S: The sound... >S: What it sounded like...? >S: Well... It...
Thomas Perry
>S: It made an incredible sound. >S: It was... >S: No... >S: It wasn't a *big* sound. >S: I don't know how to put it. >S: So... there's the skin, and then underneath that... >S: Is the muscle, >S: Right?
Lincoln Gomez
>S: It was like that guy's body... >S: Was made of water or something. >S: If a blade cut through something like that - >S: That's the kind of sound it was.

>A: He got shredded... >A: Ahh. >A: Whoa! >A: Heeeee!! >A: He's still alive...!? >A: Ooh... >Hanayama: 't'urt.
Zachary Mitchell
>Musashi: Ohhhhhh... >M: Did you say "That hurt"? ...Hanayama. >M: I have passed through many wars, yet... >M: I have never before seen a man, having been cut by me, speak of 'pain'.
Jose Allen
>M: Perhaps they perished before feeling pain. >M: Or, perhaps, they wanted to speak of it, but died too soon. >M: Were you not so extraordinarily strong, >M: You would not have been able to so much as feel pain. >M: How many times do you intend make me say this, Hanayama?
Kayden Ross
>M: You are splendid.
Jace Miller
>M: Hm...
Jordan Watson
>M: What is it...? >M: Like this...? >A: Huh...? >A: What?
Liam Harris
>M: Oh, my.
Brandon Reed
>Tokugawa & Utsumi: They're hand-to-hand!!! >M: Is this a custom of this world...? >M: I did this with Pickle, as well. >A: Ohhh... >A: A strength contest! >A: A grip match...!!!
There is a specific word in Japanese for "hand-to-hand". It literally translates as "hands four". It's commonly used in wrestling and sumo. To the extent of my knowledge, there is not a simple English equivalent.
Austin Adams
Strong is beautiful
Colton Thomas
>T: Utsumi. >T: We're gonna see it. >T: The grip that can easily... >T: Crunch the nodes of raw bamboo stems, >T: Versus the grip that can twist 500-yen coins.
Ethan Russell
>H: Just in time. >M: 'Just in time'...? >H: You... >H: Are in the palm of my hand.
This is where the troubles with the translation start. The term used for "palm of my hand" also refers to like six other things - among which are: "my real intent", "my real power", "my hand (in cards)", and "my abilities".
Parker Rogers
>Editor: Gripping The Victory. >Chapter 166: Pure Power Contest
Not "pure" as in "sheer". "Pure" as in "pure hearts". I honestly cannot find a way to translate that to have it make sense devoid of explanation.
Christian Nguyen
>M: Nmgh... >M: Gohh... >M: Ngh... >M: Ugh...
Michael Butler
>M: Im... Impressive grip power. >H: It's my real strength.
The troubles return, and stop, here. Hanayama says the same "palm of my hand" line. He could be responding to what Musashi said, in which case "it's my real strength" is appropriate; or, he could be repeating himself with the "You're in the palm of my hand" bit; or, he could be saying that this is an area in which he excels; or maybe something else. Since "it's my real strength" ambiguously matches two of three, I went with that. Who knows.
Musashi will somehow asspull and "win" again. Ho-hum.
William Garcia
Wanna make bets on how he'll win?
I say that Hanayama'll beat him with the grip, and Musashi will realize that Hanayama has fallen unconscious right before he would have won.
Dominic Johnson
Thanks
Ian Walker
Hanayama will slap him around a bit maybe break some bones, tear some flesh, show off his grip strength, but then Musashi will decide he's tired of it and promptly carve him up like a Thanksgiving turkey. Again.

How big are the chances that Hanayama dies in this fight? and how long will it take until Baki comes and takes on Musashi?
Lincoln Hall
>How big are the chances that Hanayama dies in this fight? Hanayama is extremely popular. But, so was Retsu.
>how long will it take until Baki comes and takes on Musashi? Never. Baki will never encounter Musashi again.
Gabriel Jones
>Never. Baki will never encounter Musashi again.
why? he's the main fucking character
Isaac Bennett
it is implied that Baki will fight with swords now that there is no point in showing his fighting skills anymore
Jack Howard
>Baki will fight with swords do you think Yuujiro ever trained with swords out of sheer boredom?
Nolan Davis
Baki will arrive soon to get rekt by memesashi then hanayama grabs him and runs away dying in the process just like benkei.
Brandon Gutierrez
I think he is against using any weapon, so just training for the purpose of seeing how it feels sounds weird
Anthony Torres
Wait, what chapter is the Restu vs Musashi fight? I don't remember reading it.
Angel Walker
>I don't remember reading it. How? I have some sort of degenerative brain disease, yet I still remember it; albeit vaguely.
