SAA say they were clearing pockets of ISIS that were still in the area. There was probably a misunderstanding with something like artillery, and it escalated. SDF claim SAA was aiming to take the local oil fields, but I dont think they'd do that without units that are capable to perform such a task in the region, which there isn't. At worst, it was SAA testing SDF frontlines, but I doubt it.

Iran provoked Israel with a drone, the drone was shot down by an apache, and then some Israelis planes went and destroyed the control vehicle and control tower for the drone at the T4 base in self defence, as they were flying back AA systems fired 25 missiles at the planes, all missed except one which only damaged one f16, the plane made it back on its own and almost got back to base but then failed, probably as a result of important plane parts deteriorating from the damage, the pilots bailed out, one was injured in the landing but they are both alive.
