the israel/911 connections are mentioned often but the political climate regarding Israel and Palestine is often forgotten or ignored. prior to 911 Palestinians were dishing out pain regularly to Israel and they had lots of international support. Israeli treatment of Palestinians was closely scrutinized and they were hindered in their retaliation and expansion into Palestine. The international community opposition to Israel was growing and the push for a permanent peace and solution was gaining. On 911 it all ended.
